My FIL was here on monday to watch D while I took the boys to their pedi. Well now I am being asked why Nathaniel is more alert then Will, bigger, eating more etc,bymy in laws. Well William had a rough start, seems they forgot that. The pedi said he is about 2 weeks behind because he was sick. He is smaller from the TTS and from being sick, same as foras for being less alert, add in he is also anemic. I hope the comparing will end, but I doubt it
So sorry :hug: hopefully they can keep that kind of stuff to themselves from now on. Every baby is different geez, in laws ugh!
I'm so sorry. It's really hard not to compare the two when they are both right there, I would just remind them that he had a very rough start on life & he will catch up in his own time. :hug:
So Sorry :hug: Its so frustrating I know. I still get compared to Alisha with things. We had TTTS and I still get questioned why i cant do certain things, like i need to work harder to exercise and stuff like that cause of my Cerebral Palsy. I know how you feel. Hang in there Mama :youcandoit:
UGH! My IL's STILL compare them. It's so frustrating. They are constantly labeling them "the quiet one", "the destroyer", etc. It drives me a bit batty, but what can I do? After 2 years, I'm finally getting used to it. Maybe if you just remind them of all Will has been through and how wonderful it is just to have him alive, they will get the point for a while. :grouphug:
