Hello. I am 9 weeks 6 days along. I work fulltime and have a 19th months old at home. I am getting so tried and sleepy all the time. I am a runner and had to stop due to my OBGYN's order. Anybody else that is also tried all the time.....will this get better? Any advised will be helpful[IMG]

Yes, yes, yes! The first trimester was my most tired and nauseous, and I didn't even have a 19 month old to contend with! What you're going through is totally normal, and it will get better. Be prepared for the first trimester creeping a little further along than it should, I started feeling better at 14 - 16 weeks, but when I did I felt really good.

It could also be your body's transition from running. If you feel well, you might go for some easy walks. It's not for everyone, and you'll have to really listen to your body, but I worked full time too and walked 2 miles every day during my lunch hour, give or take the day. It really helped me feel grounded and healthy, and was good prep for birth and babies. Something to consider.

    And congrats on your twins!

I was exhaused and wiped out until about 16 weeks...then I started throwing up less and getting some energy back. I'm feeling relatively well now (24 weeks) but know it's downhill from here on out!

I was extremely tired until about 18 weeks. Couldn't get much done. After that I felt great for a couple of weeks, making big plans for my career (yeah, not too practical), then going downhill from around 22 weeks or so. I'm now 24 weeks, feeling too big to do anything. This pregnancy is just so different from the last two sigleton pregnancies. Lot of emotional roller coasters too!

Very, very, very normal. I didn't have an older child, but did work 9, 10 or 11 hour days with a 45 minute commute each way. Did I mention we lived on a 3rd floor walk up? By the time I walked up those stairs, it was all I could do to set my stuff down & collapse on the couch. I vaguely remember my DH bringing me dinner & sometimes it was too much work to actually eat it. I also very vaguely remember him complaining that we never spent any time together b/c I was always working or sleeping. He liked the weekends b/c I would be awake for a few hours!

Congrats! The exhaustion was actually how I new I was pregnant, before I took the home tests. I was falling asleep at work, and that was just not me. I noticed I had more energy once I got out of the first trimester.
Just listen to your body, it knows what you need. Good luck! :clapping:

Oh my gosh - so normal. I hate to tell you this, but it doesn't get better for quite a while. I think I started to get my energy back slowly at 16 weeks, but didn't feel good until 20 weeks. Even now, at 36 weeks, I still need less sleep than I did in the first trimester. I actually brought a yoga mat and pillow to work and would snooze for 20 minutes on my very hard office floor when things got really bad. And I went to bed at 8 sometimes. I've heard that it is because your body is building the placenta, which is very tiring. It's actually a good sign - don't worry!
