When did you get your period back?

I have been breastfeeding my twins for ten months now. I still haven't gotten my first period. I'm on the mini pill, but I'm still constantly having phantom pregnancy symptoms, so I can't wait until I have my monthly reassurance back.

Did your period return while you were EBF?

 

Mine returned at 10 months, which is when I dropped the last night feeding. I had ovulation symptoms for a couple of months before my period returned. I was still nursing about 5 times a day when AF returned.

 

I'm at 7 months now with my boys and there are no signs of it returning anytime soon. With my last daughter, I nursed her over two years and didn't get my period back until she was 18 months.

 

I'm at 11 months and no sign yet! (I'm afraid to even say it)

I always get jipped. I got it back with my singletons at 35-45days pp, and it just showed up yesterday - the duo is exactly 4mths old.........and I'm nursing every 2 hours 24/7......it sucks.

 

Mine started 6 weeks PP and comes every 4 weeks like clockwork. I was sooo looking forward to a few more months period free... Looks like I am not a lucky one! My sister refers to me as fertile myrtle because of this!

 

Twins - 9 months (breastfed at least 10 times a day at that point)
Singleton - 4 months.

 

I got mine back at 14 months. I was not on any form of birth control. I was down to only feeding at night at that time, and weaned completely a month later.

 

I got mine at 8 months pp. I had cut out one feeding at that point and wham I got it.ardon:

 

With my singleton - 5 months - the same week we started solids and likely dropped some nursing. Hoping to go longer with the twinfants!

 

Thanks for the replies! I started my period at 8 months with both of my singletons, so now that I'm 10 months pp, I'm just curious how much longer it will be till it comes calling once again

 

4 months and it comes every 4 weeks to the day...sigh

Mine just started last week! My girls are 11 1/2 months old. With my singleton I'm thinking it was around 9 months or so.

You may want to double check with your OBGYN.....but mine told me that most women do not get their period on the mini pill. I was told it was similar to depo, the injection. So that in addition to the BF, might be why you are not getting your monthly visitor.

pumped for 15 months here, changed from minipill to regular bcp... still no AF!

Just weaned 2 weeks ago, expecting her to show up this cycle or next.

The boys were 15 months when mine came back. I was kind of glad because I've always been irregular so I didn't know if it would ever come back.

Today I started my 3rd cycle since then. I'm so over it. <_<

 

hoping for mine to come back ASAP, would love to try for another baby on our own!!! Took us 8 years befor we had our little miracles!

 

With the twins it was after weaning, when they were 14 months. With DD now she is 10 months and I just got it last week.

 

i am bfing the babies, they get a couple bottles each of formula a day, and 1-2 solid meals a day and i still don't have a period, and they are 5 1/2 months old...and i'm not on any birth control...i get those "phantom pg symptoms" too, so i do a cervix check to reassure myself...hubby got a vasectomy on oct 2 and he should go in to get rechecked, he just hasn't yet
