When do they stop being picky eaters!?? Funny question, right? Last night I made chicken for supper (not the first time they've had it) and they didn't want anything to do with it ... today for lunch they didn't want the sandwich I made so I tried leftover chicken - ha! nope. Seems like they just want peas, cheese, yogurt, applesauce, pb &j and fruit these days, particularly bananas ... I think they may actually turn into one . They eat bits and pieces of different things here and there but it just seems like they are so picky ... I'm guessing this is normal but my question is when will is pass????? :unknw:

For us, the picky eating phase ended around 15-16 months. For instance, they loved peas and chicken and during that time, wanted nothing to do with either. We just kept offering what we were eating and trusted that they would not starve themselves. Picky eating can be so frustrating!

My LOs are 19 months old and wont eat solids so we have picky, fickle, you name it! DS is currently just eating yogurt for me so who knows when this phase ends!! Keep offering - I think that´s the best advice I can give (not that it works for me but I live in hope!!!). GL!

My ds is a picky eater, but lately he took a turn for the best! I now put the same food in a bowl and let him try to eat it with his spoon and hands ( put some in the spoon for him often) all the foods he was not eating when I was feeding him now he eats!,
I guess he is entratained...hope it last :acute:

Mine are super picky too and it drives me insane. I hate meal time because I'm constantly wondering what to give them that they'll actually eat! DS will eat peas all day long and DD will eat cheese all day. LOL They'll both eat Cheerios and toast. Oh and love French Toast sticks. I just saw the Peanut Butter thread and I'm excited to try some of that tomorrow to see if they'll accept that. Actually - scratch that - they have immunizations so I better wait to make sure there aren't any reactions. Uggg. It never ends. LOL I'm hoping they'll start eating better soon.

I'm sorry to say that mine started being picky eaters at about 18-24 months and it has mostly gotten worse since then. They just turned 4. :tomato: Amy is a tiny bit better now (past six months, maybe) -- she will sometimes try unfamiliar things, and has added a few things back into her repertoire. Sarah continues to get pickier and is now living almost entirely on oatmeal, yogurt, bread, and plain pasta. My mother tells me this is common and she'll probably come around before she goes to college.
