I have my first appointment with the perinatologist on Thursday. I'm kind of nervous. I'm hoping he gives me good news.

I had a routine appointment with my OB today. She took what I told her VERY seriously about the history of factor V leiden in my family and sent me straight to the lab to have blood drawn. It was 15 vials of blood! *swoon* I freaked out a little bit on that one. I guess they ran about 17 different tests to check for a complete thrombophiliac panel of things. Glad to know she's "got my back!"

I have an OB check-up on Wednesday. Had a little scare with bleeding and contractions over the weekend. But it passed within half a day.

Had my NT Scan yesterday and minus the fact that I have had spotting since then (ugh!) I got great news. Both babies had good nuchal measurements 1.3 and both had nasal bones present! YAY!! Now I just wish this hematoma would go away for good and I would stop spotting!!! AAHHHH....

My OB appt. went Ok. Neither of the girls would hold still for the NST so they decided to do a BPP during my U/S and both girls scored a perfect 8. My blood pressure was high again this week so I'm now on bedrest until my scheduled C-section on 1-8. Only 10 more days to go. :yahoo:

Had my 28 week appt. with ob/gyn yesterday and they did the 1 hour glucose test. Babies look great, both have good fluid (A was a little low 2 weeks ago).
I however failed the 1 hour glucose with a 181 sugar level after an hour. Gotta go back next week for a 3 hour test, yuck. :headbang:

That's great that the babies are doing great. That sucks that you failed the 1Hour, I failed it with the exact same number when I took mine.

My check-up went well. The heartbeats were good as was my blood pressure. The dr. thinks that even with placenta previa, I'll go close to full term!

Yeah I am really pleased about the fluid. Glad to see they equalized.
Did you do ok with the follow-up test? What steps are next if I fail again? My doctor is going on vacation, so it will be 2 weeks before I go in to see her again.

I decided not to do the 3 hr test I have taken that test before (when I wasn't pregnant) and I pass out shortly after the first blood draw ( my sugar levels crash really hard) so I just had my Dr treat me as if I had GD.
If you do fail this test you will probably have to do a few things.
    1. get a glucometer and test your sugar daily. How many times a day depends on your Dr. but the norm is 4x. Fasting in the morning and then either 1 hr or 2 hrs after each meal.
    2. Keep a record of your blood sugar levels and show them to your Dr. at each appt.
    3. Make an appt with a dietitian who will teach you what you can and can't eat and how to balance your carbs and proteins to keep your blood sugars steady.
    4. If your sugar levels can't be kept under control with just altering your diet you may have to take insulin.
Hopefully you will pass the 3 hr and none of this will matter, But if you don't it's not that bad.

I am new to the site, I had my growth check appointment today, I am 25 weeks(almost 26 weeks). Doctor said both babies look good and to see her again in 3-4 weeks. Both babies measured at right about 2 lbs. each. Only twelve more weeks until they schedule a c-section. :D

Had our u/s on tues: Both babies still head down...yay!! Measuring a week ahead and weighing in at 5.5 lbs each!! Cervix has shortened from 4+ to 2.5 cm, so I guess we're all getting ready :)

Had our o/b apt today: I have not gained any weight once again (not sure how with all the christmas goodies), I'm measuring in at 41 weeks though!! I'm not dilated at all, but 50% effaced. Dr. said he could feel Baby A's head so I guess they are dropping a little :)

All in all, great news...and I think I'm going to start getting the bags packed now just in case ;)

We had a routine ultrasound on Tuesday. Both babies are doing great! Baby A (girl) is already 2 lbs and B (boy) is 2.4 lbs! Fluid levels are perfect, and my cervix is 3.8 cm. All good news!

I see my GP next Friday for a checkup (I'm doing shared care with an OB) and will also be meeting with our doula in the next couple of weeks.

Overall it went well. The Peri just explained to me some of the things I should expect or be prepared for. For now I will still be able to see my OB and the Peri, but if the pregnancy goes down the wrong road I need to transfer all care to him. So I see my OB once a month and the Peri once a month- so I'm being seen every 2 weeks. The peri tried to listen to the babies hbs and he was only able to find one so we got to have a quick u/s. Both babies are doing great and moving alot!! Which is probly why he couldn't get them both. They do not like when you push on them! One of them kicked the doppler! Baby A's hb was 167 and Baby B was 153. I'm starting to feel them alot more now. Last night when I was laying in bed- on my side/tummy I felt the baby on the right moving so much and actually felt some good kicks! I'm getting so excited to watch these little ones move around!
I have a level 2 u/s set up for Feb. 18th! I'm hoping we can find out the genders!!
