    Hi Ladies,

i'm a little worried and hope someone can tell me that this is ok. I went to my OB today and he measured the usual- BP was ok, fetal HBs present, movements in both, and then he looked at the amniotic fluid level and said that baby B's is more than baby A's, no major difference (according to him) but still. Based on head circumferances baby B is measuring 33 weeks and 6 days and baby A 33 weeks and 1 day. I am officially 33 weeks tomorrow. He has arranged for me to have a Biophysical profile this friday. Should I be worried or is just accept what he says that it is just a precaution.

I've already had my steroid shots and have otherwise been doing well. My fundal height is growing weekly. I didn't gain that much weight this week ~ 1 lb.

Anyhoo, some reassuring works would be appreciated. I keep telling myself that I the fact I am at 33 weeks is great and that things will be fine!! I'm hoping and praying. 4-5 more weeks is my goal.

    Hugs to you all,
    Anna

Anna, I'm sorry you have to worry about this. I don't have experience but if the doctor was really worried he would have sent you to L&D or for a bioprofile sooner. I'm sure everything will be okay, please keep us updated.

    Liz,

Thanks for your kind words!! My hubby said the same thing, if things were really serious he would have sent me to the hospital ASAP. I'm thinking good thoughts and I think baby A knows i'm worried b/c she gave me a few kicks (even though she is pretty quiet most of the time!!!).

    I'll keep you posted.

I am 33.5 weeks with Twin daughters. 3 weeks ago they mentioned that baby A had a little less fluid then baby B. They weren't too concerned and 2 weeks later they were able to find another fluid pocket. Yesterday the doc saw them and said their fluid looked good and nothing to be concerned about. My issues are high blood pressure right now and we are just trying to make it another 2 weeks. I am having severe headaches and started contracting. I was in the hospital for two days last week to monitor my blood pressure and I was given the steriod shot. Good Luck to you and I am sure everything is fine. Your doctors are probally being extra cautious now due to how close you are to delivering your twins.

:thanks: Can I say how much I love you ladies??!!! :FIFblush: The fact that I can write on this board and get other moms-to-be to respond and understand is priceless!

I spoke to my OBs nurse today and she said it's really a common test and reassured me that it's to be safe and if something is off now, better to know and monitor. Anyhoo, I have a gut sense all is well and the poor babes just don't have a lot of space. I'm hoping to bake for 4-5 more weeks (that'll make me 37-38 weeks, which sounds pretty great to me!!!)

Hope you are all wonderful and have a great day!

    33 weeks and counting!!

When I was 28 weeks, Baby A lost alot of her fluid, so much so that the OB put me in the hospital and sent me to a peri the next day. From then on I was on bedrest and I had BPPs twice a week. My doctor and Ultrasound Tech reassured me that alot of times the fluid can vary from day to day. The bedrest really helped me and I was able to go until almost 35 weeks. (Due to Pre-eclampsia and HELLP I had to deliver early) We always thought Baby A was much smaller and because she had always had lesser fluid, we thought she would be under 5 lbs when she was born....HOWEVER, she was 5 lbs 5 oz when she was born - only 10 oz lighter than her brother! AND now she weighs more than he does!!!!

Sounds like you are doing great! and that your doctor is monitoring you closely!

Hope all goes well for you!
