an update on our crib to toddler bed transition

it's only been 5 days, but i just wanted to update you all!

sunday was the first nap day... they didn't nap and i didn't expect them to. that night i sat in their doorway and had to keep putting them back to bed, and they finally fell asleep after an hour.

the rest of the days they've fallen asleep at nap (with me sitting in the doorway), and at bedtime i sit inbetween teh beds and read a few books, then leave. i only have to go in a few times to put them back in bed, but i have to say it's been a lot easier than i thought it would be!

don't forget, i wrapped the playyard around both cribs, so they can only go from crib to crib.


also, i have another confession... there's this little monkey they're afraid of, and he's like the house police officer... and he sits with me in the doorway. i guess i'm cheating, but at least they're going to sleep!

 

Glad to hear it's getting better! We're on day one, the nap happened eventually and so far bedtime is going ok. I did have to make a couple threats and bribes though.

 

:laughing: Hey, whatever works! Glad to hear it is going pretty well. We have graduated from sitting in the doorway to standing in the hall. Baby steps :lol: ...but, it hasn't been as bad as I had imagined either.
