Night and Day twins

My Libbey started crawling at 5 1/2 months... they will be 9 months in 3 days and Josie is STILL not crawling. She is happy beyond belief and just sits there babbling but has no desire to move. trying not to worry.

 

Babies can be so different! I can say that I have seen babies who crawl for months & months before walking, babies who crawl for just a short time, and babies who never really crawl at all. Most doctors don't consider crawling to be any kind of developmental milestone, because it isn't really necessary for them to do it. I know it's hard not to worry & hard not to compare, but one day when she's running all over the house getting into everything, you will remember fondly these days where she was happy to sit & babble! :hug:

 

It amazes me every day how different babies can be!! I often say the only thing my twins have in common is their birthday :lol:
My 9 month old just started crawling and would still rather sit and play. My ds (twin) NEVER crawled.. he laid on his stomach and pulled himself with his arms and pushed with one leg to get places. He was pulling up and standing at 7.5 months :shok: However his sister did what my youngest is doing. They both learned to sit before crawling and are learned to crawl "normal".
To this day they are still very very different!! One had teeth at 7 months the other didn't have any till 13.5 months, go figure! It's a lot of fun to see such totally different kids interact all the time but get used to it, it's a long fun, bumpy ride :wub:

 

They sure can be different. My DD was crawling at 8 months and my DS did not crawl until 10.5 months. I had even called EI about it because he was using just his arms to propel forward and did not use the legs at all.

 

Colin was crawling early too. Lia JUST learned to crawl! That's why i put picks of her crawling up on FB for daddy to see. We were both worried and I knew he would want to see how good she is doing. She's learning now at 11 months!!! She was baby A and breached.

 

Yep what she said My ds started crawling at 6 months, my dd didn't start until 9 months. Both are still army crawling and not on hands and knees.

 

I'm glad you brought this up. My twins are 9.5 months (7.5 adjusted) Ben is crawling everywhere and Emaline has absolutely no interest. She screams bloody murder when I put her on her belly and is perfectly happy to sit and play forever! She's the queen of entertaining herself.

I keep telling myself that she'll crawl eventually.
