Especially now that cold season is upon us, wondering if there is anything that you don't share, and have 2 of, ie: meds, nose aspirators, etc, not necessarily limited to 'cold' stuff

The only things that my two don't share are toothbrushes.

same here. if one gets sick the other one will...it's inevitable.

    Same here

    Exactly!!

I think it's impossible to not get sick from one another.

When they're sick, I do not share saline, and when they had thrush, I didn't share the medicine dropper. They have separate toothbrushes too.

Yup, this is true for my house. I will find them drinking from each other's cups, taking each others utensils. It just seemed pointless for me to do. During the FY, I could not keep track who used what spoon, drank from what bottle...so they pretty much shared everything.

    ummm dirty diapers...lol

mine are 4 months, they share pretty much everything except bottles (although i'm sure i've mixed them up at least once). medicine droppers, pacifiers, pretty much everything. i figure if one's going to get sick so is the other one. although once they get old enough they will have their own tooth brushes and what not, we just don't need those yet. :)

Mine still share everything, well except diapers, since they are in 2 different sizes! lol

My mom has been bugging me about this because of cold season, but I pointed out that it's not like I sterilize a boob between boys so they might as well share everything else.

I feel the same way. That is also my logic when (every once in awhile) one doesn't finish the bottle and the other's still hungry. Sometimes I pour the leftovers into another bottle, but usually I just hand the bottle over to the hungry one. I really don't think it hurts them...

My babies' doctor told me to intentionally let them share spoons and such when one is sick, so they can build immunities early. :/

Not really! (we still have a toothless twin, one of these days we will have separate toothbrushes)

Just toothbrushes here too. They still swap pacis and loveys back and forth not to mention feeding each other off their spoons! I don't foresee them not sharing anytime soon.

this is gross I know but we share everything. I cringe but yes even the bulb syringe. Ideally we would use separate ones but I can never find the damn things and when I need it in the middle of the night I grab whats available. We share medicines. We share spoons. We share bottles sometimes. I haven't been to worried about getting the other sick because they've only dealt with mild colds and nasal congestion and that is pretty much unavoidable. I'm sure I'd be more cautious if we were dealing with any more severe illness like the flu.

As for the toothbrushes--my girls now brush their teeth independantly--without my help--and I can't begin to tell you how many times I've told them not to trade toothbrushes. I still catch them doing it all the time.
I think it's useless to resist twin power.

They share everything. They've even shared their bottles from when they came home. I was not about to waste my precious breastmilk when one wouldn't finish theirs and the other was still hungry-I worked way too hard for that stuff!

Besides, with 2 older siblings, one of whom is in school, it's inevitable that they will be exposed.

    Mine don't share:
-a crib (because the little one beats on his bigger brother)
-soothers (they each have their own and we try ot keep it that way)
-bottles (they each get their own bottle because one drinks more concentrated milk than the other)
-Clothes (because they are in two different sizes :)
-Cups (they both backwash so bad into their cups that I have one for each because I think its kinda gross)

Right now, just pacifiers and that's only because they have different designs on their pacis which is what helps us tell them apart at a glance.

We do cloth- so they even share diapers! (though they are washed of course :p

I couldn't figure out how to get the multiquote to work- but my DH also commented about how they share my boobs and when they both used pacis- we grabbed the first one we could find in the dark.

Actually we were watching old home movies and there was my brother and my cousin stealing each others' bottles- so it it's not only siblings who end up sharing things.

We are not there yet but I would say we will make an effort to keep separate toothbrushes.
