DH wants our Christmas card to say, "For unto us the 'childs' is born."

I think it's funny and so does DH, but we're a little worried people won't get it, or that they'll think we have poor grammar. We also think my MIL will think it's sacriligious, but we don't really care. What do you think?

How about 'For unto us these children are born' or just use the word children instead of childs?

I too like -- For unto us these children are born -- No quotes needed around 'children' :)

You could put "for unto us a child(s) is born."

I like this the best. I do think the other sounds grammatically bad.
