Sippy Cups

I think probably waited to long to introduce sippy cups(the twins will be 10 months on Thursday). I'm having trouble getting them to drink from it. Everytime I put the cup to their mouths they push it away. Any suggestions to help the process?

 

My boys didn't consistantly use sippy cups until we started milk at 12 months. Until that, we just put water in them and left them out. If they wanted to drink from them they could. Have you tried a variety of sippy cups? Nuby ones were the best for us at the beginning because they have the same texture as bottle nipples.

 

Mine didn't really drink from the sippy until they were 12 months old. I'd just keep giving it to them, eventually they will stop pushing it away.

 

Mine are 10 months old. One will not drink from a cup..pushes it away. The other tries but is not too successful. I just keep offering it every day and figure that eventually they will get the hang of it...hopefully by the time they NEED to!

I started giving my boys water in sippy cups since they were 6 months old. Now they make a fuss if I take it away from them. but I think they enjoy mostly chewing it and consider it more a teether than a sippy cups. Keep trying, they will get used to them in the end.

 

Just keep giving it to them, they will get it eventually!

 

Mine don't really like sippies, but they both love straw cups. They drink 8+ ounces of water a day in their straw cups. We use the Munchkin cups.
