With my first child my hair was gorgeous after giving birth. After my second at almost 3 months i started losing it in spots which i know can be pretty normal. The hair i lost last time has still not grown back enough to fit into a ponytail yet (only because we got preggo again right away with the twins) and here i go again.

Has anyone have any success in stopping it from getting worse or a haircut/style that helped or even a haircolor that helps to not show the thinner areas. If its like last time as long as i don't pull it back the areas should be somewhat hidden but that doesn't help me feel better kwim. I already feel fat, ugly, frumpy and covered in spit up and stretch marks and now the hair. Nature can be so cruel can't it lol! I know its prolly a long shot, just thought i'd ask. TIA!

My stylist cut mine into a mom cut where it is shorter in the back and longer around my face. This seems to help with the different thickness of the hair. Mine is falling out also but I am happy about it because I have thick hair to begin with and when I was pregnant it was almost like a yeti on top there.

    :good:

I would go shorter for now, and just give it a little time. Are you still on vitamins? Those can help thicken up what you do have. My hair was really thin after the twins, and I have been taking vitamins on a regular basis for about 6 months, and cannot believe the difference in my hair. If it gets really terrible, I would get your thyroid checked, as PP thyroid issues are common, and hair loss is a symptom.

I have really thick hair, naturally, too... so I had my hairdresser cut it short with lots of layers so that it could grow at different rates & I can lose handfuls in the shower (SO FUN!) Sideswept bangs, short in the back, long in the front. The A Line, I believe...

Ugh...I am in the thick (or thin, actually) of this. No part of our body is safe, is it!!!

I just had my hair cut and my stylist gave me lots of layers with texturizing shears as opposed to blockier layers as usual. He suggested that it would help hide the shorties once they start getting a little longer. He also gave me a few bangs to hide those really annoying little fuzzies around the hairline.

So not fair. I must add that the hairloss seems to be slowing down finally...now that my beloved period has returned. :gah:

Man, my hair is totally coming out in handfuls in the shower. So gross! Seriously, just cut it into an inverted bob style, chin length, used to have hair to mid back. I thought this would help it not be as noticeable, but alas, that is not the case. I hope my body gets back to normal some day!

You might want to have your thyroid levels checked also. My cousin had the same issue after having her baby and it ended up being a problem with her thyroid. She started some medication to control it and her hair has started to grow back in.

Thanks guys, I am glad its not just me but sorry for those of you who don't want it to be falling out. It's so not fair eh? After all our bodies have been through and to feel "ugly" about stretch mars and twin skin already, ugh! I will def mention to my doc. I have a night out with the girls to see new moon tonight but was seriously thinking abut changing that to a hair appt instead LOL I could use a pick me up. ;) Any advice on colors that don't show the thinning as much?

My girls are almost 13 weeks and my hair just started coming out like crazy. This happened with my DS4 as well. It's hard enough finding time to shower, but now showering takes even longer. My stylsit suggested taking the prenatals and to avoid pony tails.
