Ty will be getting to try a little bit of everything for Thanksgiving. He LOVES sweet potatoes so he will be having those for sure. Also some turkey and stuffing and probably a veggie. I cant think at the moment what else my mom makes but he will probably be trying some of everything( with in reason of course)

What will your little one be having?

At 10 months, I would let them try just about everything. Mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, turkey, sweet potatoes, veggies, bread, etc. Even pumpkin pie. :)

Mine will be trying everything as well. My older DS has some food allergies, so we had the twins tested a few weeks ago and they were negative to everything! I am so excited they will be able to enjoy all of the yummy food without having to worry. They LOVE to eat and I think they are going to have a great time.

Mine are 9 months old, but we had thanksgiving #1 on sunday and they tried everything and loved it! Green beans, sweet potatoes, rice and gravy, dressing, ham and macaroni pie! I took a jar of baby fruit for them for dessert. They also ate puffs, cheese crunchies, and cheerios ;)

Thanksgiving #2 is just our family, it'll be turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. They'll eat it all.

And thanksgiving #3 is on saturday, and again they'll be eating everything :)

Just out of curiosity, for those that are giving their LO's everything, are they things they've had before? I'm such a chicken with introducing new foods. Is it okay to just let them try a bunch things they've never had? I am absolutely not judging...I wanted to let them try everything, but like I said, I'm a chicken!

I'm with you on that one - but most everything they will have on Thanksgiving will be things they have already had -turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, yams, veggies - except for cranberry sauce and stuffing. We will probably will let them try stuffing and leave out the cranberry sauce until Christmas.

I think I let them try everything at T'giving when they were 12 months. I was past worrying about new foods by that point. And I think they did eat a bit of most things -- it wasn't till they were 2, or maybe 3, that they ate nothing but bread!

At 10 months mine were already eating quite a few table foods, so I would have just let them try most everything.

For the most part they've had it all, they hadn't tried fresh green beans or ham yet, but they ate it very good.

On sunday they had sweet potato casserole, macaroni pie, ham, green beans, rice, dressing and gravy.

I have the benefit of having two older kids, who've had no reactions to any food, and no family history of food allergies. So I'm a little more lenient than most parents about trying new foods. Even when the twins started baby foods I would start them on 2 different foods at a time, to give them some variety :)

By ten months I'd let them try everything (except shellfish and peanut butter but those aren't typical Turkey day foods! lol). If they seem to react to something, it's going to most likely be something they don't get everyday anyway. We do basically the same meal for Thanksgiving and Christmas so if they have a problem with something, I'd watch a bit more carefully at Christmas to see what exactly they ate, in what quantities and what the reaction was. Odds are very good they'll be just fine. Another thing you could try is to bring home and freeze a little bit of the different things they ate. Then if they react you could try each food individually over a few weeks to see if you can replicate the reaction. Truthfully, I wouldn't bother unless they had a severe reaction. Unless you have a family history of allergies to turkey day foods, try to relax and let them have fun!

Last year, my two were 11 months for Turkey day and they had already been doing pretty decent on table foods, so we let them try whatever they wanted. Food allergies were not a concern in our house...most of the food they had before other then stuffing.
