Either labor is approaching (and of course it is, Im due Thursday) or Im just going downhill.
Ive had a great pregnancy, appropriate weight gain etc. last night my hands/feet started swelling and I noticed I wasn't feeling well. DH came home and said "wow, your veins are blazing- they're huge" uhh yeah Im swelling. This morning I woke up and my lips/nose are puffy my hands hurt when I try to close them around anything like a toothbrush and my feet feel like the flinestones look.

This is really the first swelling Ive had. I had this with the twins too about 1 week before my doc induced she had me do the pre-e pee in a jug test but I passed so I went another week before I got induced.
If the swelling continues I guess I'll have to see if I can see her Monday instead of waiting till Wednesday but Im secretively hoping its just my body really gearing up for labor!

    Hows your swelling been?

 I'm sorry the end of this has been so tough! Hang in there. Have you spoken to your doctor about the swelling of this pregnancy?

I'm so sorry. I've never had to deal with swelling at all in my pregnancies, but I can imagine it's very uncomfortable. Hope you have that little one soon!

Hey Jess, I've heard drinking water and walking around helps with that problem, but I heard that after I gave birth. My ankles and feet were huge, and they told me the more I get around the better it is.

I hope you feel better soon.

I was very swollen about the last two weeks of my pregnancy with the twins - I could press down into my shin and the "dent" would stay for 5 minutes or so. I was a water hog too, drinking about 150 ounces of water a day. Sometimes it just happens in the end so hang in there! After I delivered (c-section) they had pumped me so full of saline prior to and during the surgery that the tops of my feet literally jiggled for a week after they were so big. Then one morning I woke up after a week of night sweats and puffiness and everything was back to normal. I've been there and I know it's not fun - it won't be long now!
