So the stage 3 Pampers didn't work

So--I got the stage 3 diapers for my LO as everyone suggested and around 4 I woke up and checked him and he was soaked! When we got the diaper off, we noticed that it was full in the front and nothing at all in the back. I know all of you said to make sure his little "thing" is pointing down--but honestly his is a bit smaller than his brothers and we can't really point it down ! LOL! Poor thing!

So, we also picked up the diaper boosters that someone mentioned and will try that tonight. I didn't know if the overnights would help so much if the problem is that he is just peeing right in the front! And the sleepign on the tummy is what is making it come out. If the boosters don't work, then we'll try overnights next--do any of you just change your babies in the middle of the night? I will hate to do that!

We use size 4 pampers overnights. During the day the boys are in size 2-3 pampers. So the size 4 is pretty big (although they are growing into it) but we make sure it is as snug as possible. I also make sure that the elastic portion is pulled out so it isn't tucked under (if that makes sense). The nice thing about the nighttime diapers is that the extra absorbant portion is in the front of the diaper. Exactly where they need it.

It took us awhile to finally find a solution. They kept wetting themselves at night and we had all the parts facing the right direction. I was really afraid the size four overnights would be way to big and would leak but we have not had a single soaked baby/bedsheet since we started using them.

One of my boys was a little shy of 16 lbs. when we started using the size 4 nighttime diaper at night.

    Good luck.

I thought you were using the size 2-3 during the day. If so, use size 4. You really have to make sure the diaper is on snuggly so no gaps are anywhere. It takes a little bit of manuvering the diaper, but you will get it!

Thanks I will definitely try that...just figured size 4 would be way too big.

We are using the 2-3 during the day and that was what we were using at night too. Last night we tried size 3--since they are supposed to be a bit bigger. Didn't realize we shoudl try 4s--but will definitely get those now. Thanks!!

Use the Huggies Overnights at night time. A daytime diaper just doesn't cut it (IME, with three kids).

Have you tried using a waterproof cover over his disposable diaper? I know that sounds funny but when we've had leakage issues I put a Thirsties cover over his diaper (because we can't point his little man down, either..) and it seems to contain the leak. :D

We have had this exact same problem. Our boys ran out of Swaddlers size 2 earlier this week, which I looooved (and never leaked). So I went looking for Swaddlers size 3, only to find out they don't make size 3 in Swaddlers (and our store didn't carry the "2 - 3 size" Swaddlers). So I got Pampers Cruisers size 3....and Thursday morning Brandon's entire belly was SOAKED, and his brother had a very large wet spot on his belly too (both are tummy sleepers). I'm surprised Brandon didn't get a rash he was so sopping wet. Today we went back to Target and pondered what to get for nighttime...and ended up getting the Pampers Dry size 3...but now I'm wishing we tried the Huggies Overnights! These Pampers Baby Dry diapers seem just as thin as the Cruisers. I realize they can expand and absorb, but I'll be really surprised if these don't leak like the Cruisers. If they leak as well I guess we'll buy some Huggies Overnighters, and hope that we can eventually use up the rest of the 200 various Pamper diapers we have in the house now before the boys outgrow them :)

not sure where you live or what the climate is... but in the summer we were dressing our LOs in short sleeved and shorts PJs... w/no blankets (of course) in the cribs... and we finally realized that they babies were sleeping on their tummies b/c they were cold... poor things! anyway, not that they always sleep on their backs now that we have them in longsleeves & pants now, but they aren't always on their tummies w/their butts in the air.

hope you get your diaper issues figured out... we've had/have our share... we cloth diaper and every month or so I've got to figure out something else to keep them from leaking... ugh!

One of my boys always sleeps on his belly and is soaking wet every morning to the point where the stupid jelly comes out of the diaper and is all over him. I started putting wool diaper pants over his disposible diapers at night and now he is never wet. They are kinda expensive but you only need to wash them once a week unless there is poop on them. Sustainable babies are a nice brand that fit well and are nice and soft. Good luck

we were having a similar problem and Huggies overnights worked WONDERS!!! They really do make a world of differnce!! Too if they are in a 3 during the day go to a size 4 for the overnights.. They will be a bit big but you can cinch them down and they will over the xtra protection
