I should have just said "No."

I went to Target yesterday because we need diapers. I always buy Pampers Baby-Dry. Always. And well, they're getting a little short on A&R, so I had resigned myself to buying the last size, size 6. Well, Target didn't have any boxes of size 6 Baby-dry and the size 6 Cruisers only have 42 or 44 in a box which is ridiculous when it should be like 60 of the baby-dry for the same price. And the Cruisers don't really fit well.

I look at all the other diapers. Luvs no good, they're too short for my stringbeans, Target brand fit well, but Alice always gets a really nasty rash from them. Huggies, well, it's only $20 and I know that they're long enough, I just don't like the way they're so bulky around the butt-u-lar area. Pull-ups, too expensive for us right now. So I grab the box of huggies. Well, Royce just had the biggest pee-leak ever. The legs are too loose. Pee all down the back of his pants into his socks, thankfully he wasn't wearing shoes. :headbang:

I should have just packed up the kids and went to another store.

Oh, how annoying. My two have been in Baby Dry size 6 for a long while now, and I have to buy them at Target instead of Sam's, because Sam's only carries up to size 5. I like the Target brand diapers, too, but they're just not quite as good...so I use them when I know they'll only be on for an hour or two, like when someone poops an hour before bed. They're a lot cheaper, so I wish they worked all the time.

Agree on the Huggies. They just don't fit. I always go back to Pampers. I was buying Cruisers for awhile, but then they added that weird net stuff on the inside. What's that about? And they're cut a little smaller, too. I have no idea why they're the premium diaper.

Karina is almost out of the size 6. I have no earthly idea what I'm going to do after that. Maybe mortgage my house to buy the size 7's that I think you can special order online...

It might be cheaper to get pull ups in your case. But why they don't make gender neutral pull ups is beyond me.

That's funny, because Huggies always fit my kids (until they started wearing pull-ups) and Pampers never did. But once you find the right fit for your kids' particular butt-u-lar areas, you gotta stick with it!

This sort of bugs me too, but (having tried both the boys' and girls' versions on my girls, depending on what was in the store) they do seem to be made differently. We get far more leaks with the boy versions -- same brand, same size.

That said, I don't see why they can't make girls' pullups with something other than princesses on them. :umm:
