    Hello everyone,
I am wondering if any of you have any ideas for some great toys for my girls?? They are 3 1/2 months old and they aren't strong enough to sit up in their exersaucer yet.
Also twin B doesn't like being on her stomach at all so her tummy time is kind of out of the question. She holds her head up really well though. She's just too curious and would rather sit up and look around.
Any tips would be great. Thanks

What about a playmat with rings and loops to hang things from? My girls are five months old, and they love theirs. At first, they just stared at the lights and colors but now they are starting to bat and grab the dangling toys.

Mine loved thier playmat and looking up at toys dangling down, as the PP suggests. One of ours was a ball they would hit and it would play a different tune. Also, soft toys with mirrors, crackily tissue to grab, music, & soft lights. My LOs were given something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Lamaze-LC27013-Jacques-the-Peacock/dp/B000I2MRLK/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1258388933&sr=1-9 and they loved it! Any soft toy with bright colours. Toys to gum and chew on are good for when they get a little older (mine would chomp on anything they could get their hands on!). Rattles is anothe ridea - though they need to be light and easy to grip.

This is what I was going to suggest too. Mine were just plain happy playing on a blanket and in their swings at that age.

bouncy doorway jumper. just started my 3.5 m olds with blanket in front and they LOVE it. Also, the gym mats are good with toys dangling above. I got a book at walmart with an elmo puppet they seem to enjoy, they are also starting to smile and laugh(almost) with things that sing and dance. my mother bought some weird snowwoman that sings Santa Baby and jiggles and bats her eyelids(from walgreens) and Ava LOVES this thing! she cries whenever it stops though so we have to keep pressing the foot! LOL The laugh and learn puppy is somewhat entertaining for them. a bouncer with kick motion activated things too. good luck. Every day is a struggle to keep them busy :)

we have the baby einstein playmat (it's an older model, a carry over from when izzy was a baby, he's 3 1/2 now)...jack LOVES it...abbey would usually rather be sitting in a bouncy seat watching people, and in this house, there are a LOT of people to watch!

At that age, mine were just starting to use the play mat. They also liked little hand held toys, like rattles. (Baby Einstein makes some good ones).

Another vote for the playmat. We got ours right about when the babies were 3 months old and it was like we opened up a whole world to them! They would stare at the toys, bat at them and loved the lights and music. Now they grab at the toys to chew on them. We have a Baby Einstein and a Fisher Price one...the Baby Einstein they liked better when they were younger (more busy) but now they love the FP one too because it has a giant mirror for them to gaze into.

My girls love their baby einstein kaleidoscope. My niece is 7 months and steals it from them all of the time so it keeps them interested for awhile
