What formula do you use or have found to be more effective?

    Why did you choose it?

    How is it working?

Mine started on the Enfamil Enfacare (preemie stuff) but at 6 months got the OK to go off of it, so we went straight to Sam's Club and bought the huge 3lb tub of generic Enfamil Lipil:) We went from spending $400 a month to $80!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine have not had too many issues with tummy problems though.

We just used regular Similac. No trouble here.

I used soy with 4/5. Hannah was on Nutramigen. They all obviously had issues with milk-based formulas. I used name brand formula with the older 3, but switched to Wal-Mart generic with the twins. Absolutely no difference except the $$ I saved.

We use the Sam's club generic enfamil. Its great, you cannot beat 3 lbs for $19.... Since my boys are over 22 pounds at six months and they are not fat, I think it has worked for us. They did not have any problems with reflux or milk based products though.

We are on Target Brand Enfamil AR Lipil and love it! It goes down great, especially since one of our boys had acid reflux. We have been on Similac Advance, Similac Isomil, and Similac Sensitive RS, but none have compared to the Enfamil AR Lipil.

    Good start.

All my kids had issues with enfamil/similac products, and unfortunately there is no generic equivalent to goodstart so we spend a fortune (around $75 a week) for the twins.

But it works great, no tummy issues and it's worked best with my oldest ds's and my youngest dd's reflux issues.

GoodStart Gentle. I love it! I started out with Enfamil Premium Lipil, but my little one did not like it. He was quite unhappy. (The older one is on breastmilk).
I swear by GoodStart! It worked miracle for us.

They only get formula 50% of the time, but I use Similac Advance ready to feed.

We started using it because we heard that it was easier for babies under one month old to digest.

And then one of our girls showed signs of reflux so we stuck with it because we also heard that the powder makes more gas bubbles. I am so very grateful that she tolerates regular formula that I don't mind paying for the ready to feed. We buy it by the case at BJ's. I use a Similac check and pay $25 for 6 bottles.

We started on Enfamil premium Lipil because thats what the hospital recommended....i found that it gave the girls gas and constipation so at their one month check up our doctor recommended we switch to enfamil gentlease...which we are still on now and it seems to work pretty good

We started with neosure then enfacare-goodstart-similac-soy-enfamil gentalease which they were on for 6 months and worked well but now we are on alimentum which costs a fortune but they wanted to try something that the casine was already broken down in to see if it made a difference.

At birth, one baby was on Enfacare (for preemies) and one was on ProSobee. (They were in different hospitals.) At one month old, at the same time they started having major tummy troubles. They were both changed to Nutramigen and we've been on that ever since. The tummy issues did lessen, but both had reflux bad until a couple months ago. They were having cereal in every single bottle until a few weeks ago. (Now I do every other bottle or so.)

Generic Sam's Club Lipil, it's pretty much the reason we have the membership :)

Went home with Neosure, then switched to Enfacare preemie formula, but the boys had _horrible_ gas and constipation.
Tried Enfamil Prosobee for a couple of days but it caused awful diarrhea.
Then switched to Gentlease which was a tad easier on their tummies than the preemie formula, but they had bad reflux and spit up a lot.
So we switched to Enfamil AR, and then to the Target brand AR. Both were great at reducing spit up, but they constipated the dickens out of our boys.
So a few weeks ago we switched to Enfamil Premium and I thicken it with a homemade version of SimplyThick for their reflux and spitting up. They have less gas and constipation now but I think one of my LOs continued constipation is due to prevacid.
The only other formula I am tempted to try is GoodStart, but I'm hesitant to make yet another change. At least not until I use up all of the Enfamil Premium $5 coupons, LOL ;)

Mine got Similac advanced in the hospital to supplement. I am still supplementing as I never seem to have enough. Last week we switched to Parent's Choice Milk based, iron fortified formula. The daycare they started at today buys it and will give them that when I run out of breastmilk. It is free. So we switched to it a week early and they tolerated it fine.

We used Nestle Good Start before, but then switched to Enfamil Lactose Free A+ which is designed for babies sensitive to lactose. I found so many moms that had their worries dismissed about gas and fussiness, but then they switched to lactose free formula or soy based and their babies because the sweet little pumpkins every one wishes for. I decided to give it a try. After all, my husband is lactose intolerant himself and we are vegetarians.

It works great and no more tummy issues. My son used to scream day and night, bring his legs up and have terrible gas. Now he is a happy baby.

They had mostly breastmilk fortified with Neosure in the NICU. Once coming home I kept it up for almost a week but couldnt anymore. After being on strictly Neosure for 2 weeks both had bad gas and the reflux had started to kick in. Dr switched them to Alimentum and we are going on 3 or 4 weeks now. However, they still have gas and I do mix a little rice in every other bottle to help with their reflux because I do not want them constipated so I try to avoid doing it each feeding

I have pumped for the babies from the moment they were born till last week.. they would get 3/4 breast milk 1/4 Carnation GoodStart. Finally my milk just dried up. We were on 1 bottle of NeoSure when they first came home, but that stuff was awful!! They could not handle that NeoSure stuff. So we switched to the Good Start and it has worked great.. I finally began to put them on full formula this past week and still they are doing great with it!

My girls are on Similac Sensitive, which helps with gas and fussiness. It seems to really help with those issues, although one of the babies still has the poots, but she gets that after her dad :rotflmbo:

Mine were on breastmilk for the first couple of months and then we went to Similac Neosure (high calorie for preemies). The were on Neosure until they turned one and we were able to switch to whole milk.
