i was wondering when everyone, if you have or not, returned to their pre-pregnancy weight and if you had a c-section or vaginal birth.

    i'm 3 months post babies with a c-section and have lost all but 7lbs, i gained 50!

also how long does it take for your body shape to return to normal, like your waist, hips, etc.?

I had a vaginal delivery and it took me about a year to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I am not the same shape I was pre-pregnancy and probably never will be that shape again. I have extra skin in my midsection. Also, my boobs are bigger, by 1 size. I'm not unhappy with my shape now, it's just not the same. I'm a little bit wider.

It took me about a year to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. And all the sit ups in the world wont make the extra skin in my mid-section go away. :gah:

I lost all of the weight(47lbs) within 2 weeks of delivery(c-section). And then, I gained about 10 back. <_< I don't think my stomach/hips will never be the same.

I lost all the weight plus the 10 pounds I was trying to loose before I was pregnant. I had a c-section. My body is not the same. My boobs used to be muffins and are now pancakes, and I have the "fold" by the c-section scar that only gets smaller but won't go away no matter how little I eat and how much I work out. This doesn't stop me from trying to get rid of it though.

I had a c-section 6.5 weeks ago and have lost half of the weight I gained (55 lbs). My midsection is hideous (that lovely c-section "fold") and I doubt it will ever go back to pre-pregnancy proportions. I am however starting to work out with pilates and tae-bo videos so hope to lose the rest of the baby weight over the next few months.

I gained 42 pounds with my pregnancy. I had a c-section. I have lost all of it, plus another 6. Aside from my belly button that now winks at me, I'm really happy with my post-baby body. I was 126 when I got pregnate and I'm now 120. I hope you eventually have the same feeling.

I had a vaginal delivery. I gained about 60 lbs with the pregnancy & lost most of it (all but about 10 pounds) within the first 3 months. That 10 pounds has been stubborn & I still have between 5 & 7 pounds that I would like to take off, then I would be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. My body seems to have other ideas. However, even this close to my original weight, my hips & stomach have not returned to normal, I still have a bit of extra skin & I suppose my hips will now always be wider than they were before. :pardon:

I gained 48 lbs. I have another 8 to go, and the boys r almost 6 weeks. I have the extra on my belly, can't wait to start exersizing. My hips seem wider, I don't know if it ever gets back to pre-pregnancy.
    I had vaginal delivery.

I gained 30lbs and delivered vaginally. It took about 6 months to lose all the weight but my body is definitely shaped differently. Hips are wider and tummy has a bigger "pooch" than before. O well, I'm not going to worry about it until we are done having kids:)

I gained 39 pounds, had a c-section at 37 weeks, lost all the weight by my 6-week postpartum visit, and am now another 12 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight. However, at my 6 week visit, although I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I was not back in my own pants. Now, of course, I am. And although I had a c-section, other than a scar, there's no remnants of my twin pregnancy left.

I gained 54 lbs. I am now almost 10 months postpartum and have lost all but 7 lbs. I lost 35 lbs in the first two weeks after giving birth and then stalled. I started Weight Watchers in mid-May and started working out in June. I lost about a pound a week for a while and then I plateaued. Recently I've kind of lost my motivation but I do want to lose those last 7 lbs! For me, I didn't start feeling like I was getting my body back until about a month into my Weight Watchers/30 Day Shred regime.

I didn't gain any weight and was -7lbs when I delivered the twins. 2 weeks after my babies were born I was 42lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight. But I have put 5 lbs back on now that I haven't been taking my anti-depressant as often as I was. I had gained 40lbs in 3 yrs after we got married!! I was a fat ***. LOL

Still have horrible skin and my boobs are smaller :(

I started out overweight and carrying my two while working full time made me actually lose non-baby weight. I gained 38 lbs during the pregnancy and had lost 50 lbs by the 2 week visit and was 20 lbs below pre-pregnancy weight by 6 weeks. Now at 4 months post partum I am 30 lbs below pregnancy weight (can I breastfeed forever if it makes me lose like this?!?!) Unfortunately, even with the weight loss my body is not the same and I actually have a floppier, squishier midsection than ever before (I had always carried all my weight in my hips, butt and thighs before). I'm also a little anxious to see how deflated my boobs will look when I finally stop breastfeeding since they have gone up 2 sizes.

I lost all the weight after the birth +10lbs...(i gained about 34lbs) BUT...I remember feeling like a 'linebacker'...my ribcage and back expanded, i don't ever remember being warned of that...i would put on an old shirt and felt like the hulk!!

After about 6mths that got much better, i also gained about 15lbs, which I'm working at getting rid of now. my shape is not the same, I've had to go out an buy new clothes (oh bother). But when I look at them, I realize what an amazing thing my body did for my beautiful babies...that helps for a minute during a tough mirror-view...hang in there!

I had the same thing happen w/ my 1st pregnancy. And since this pregnancy, my midsection has gone to heck so I just feel like a brick.

That said, within 2 wks of my vaginal delivery I was 5lbs away from my pp weight. Despite this and the fact that my butt seems to have gotten smaller, my pants still don't fit the way I'd like thanks to that dang belly. :gah: 5 months later, I'm about 7lbs under my pp weight...and I know I could do better if I behaved a little more, had time to exercise, etc.

Oh well. I guess my belly is my "battle wound" and one that I'm quite proud of...it's a small price to pay for the lifetime of rewards I'll receive! And taking care of twinfants and a toddler really was cutting into time devoted to my supermodel career, anyway. :rotflmbo:

I am 10lbs over pre-pregnancy weight which is annoying me and I am sooo squishy. I am back at the gym hoping to get rid of some of the squishy and hoping my hips will go back to where they are. I want to wear "not your mom's jeans" instead of mom jeans.

I gained 28 lbs, lost it all by 6 wks pp, was back in my jeans by 4 wks pp, but my shape is far from the same. My hips are forever wider, my stomach squishier and I too have the c/s fold ( had 3 c/s's though, pretty sure it's permanent). My boobs also grew 2 cup sizes and never went back down.

I gained 50lbs and lost 40 2 weeks after my c-section. It has been 5 months and can't lose the last 10 lbs. I exercise some but not enough. I can wear my old clothes but it is tight and not comfortable. I hope to lose it eventually. I want to wear my old clothes!

I gained 70 pounds during my pregnancy...My girls are 3 months and one week and i have lost all but 6 pounds...i have not done any sort of exercise so i guess that is good....everything has pretty much gone back to normal except for my stomach(and bellybutton) little extra skin/flab that i will need to work on when i get a minute( which im sure will never happen!) Anyone else have a crazy belly button post baby?

I gained 63 pounds :woah: and ended up having a c-section. I lost most of the weight right away and stopped "dropping" weight about 20 pounds out from pre-prego weight. Took me awhile to lose ten and now I have about ten to go. I have the dreaded pooch and the not so nice "twin skin". And boobs?? What boobs? Those babies went bye-bye after I stopped BF. :gah: Tummy tuck and a possible boob job are on the short list!
