So here is what I do but just looking for anymore ideas for play time!
We do tummy/floor time; einstein videos, walks in stroller, talking and singing, swings, playing with rattles or little stuffed animals...Do you do anything else? Any unique ideas out there? I feel like I am constantly struggling to find stuff to keep playtime going! Thanks!

Sounds like you are doing a great job. At 3 months we were just starting to do more interaction during the day.

That sounds like about everything I did at 3 months old. I had a mommy and me Yoga video I'd do sometimes just to break up the monotony.

UGH. I was SO bored at that age! It gets a lot more fun once they can do the exercauser and Jumperoo.

Ugh. I really struggled with that age! A silly thing that I accidentally discovered...my older son got a mylar (helium) balloon one day and the twins were FASCINATED with it. It was colorful, shiny, and moved ever so slightly. And it was ABOVE them...a hard thing to find in most toys! Obviously you want to keep the balloon a safe distance from them and not leave them alone w/ it for safety reasons, but I tell you - they were amused for longer periods of time with this $3 balloon than most anything else. I recall days of moving the bouncy chairs and balloon from room to room to room.....

Sounds to me that you are doing a great job! At this age I used to put them lots of music, sing to them and talk to them. I have noticed that babies just like to discover new things. whenever I see them focusing on something nearby, I explain to them what it is and what we use it for... My Pedi's advice was to talk to them as much as possible as this will help develop their talking skills early.

Sounds like you are doing the same things we did! Our favorite thing at that age was the floor gym.

Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job!!!
That age can be tricky and boring. One thing that i still do with them is lay them on the ground beside each other and i put my hands up high above each of their head, open my hands and wriggle my fingers, while making silly sounds and going up and down towards their faces, they love it and laugh like crazy, it's also a good distractor if they get fussy[IMG] . I tried reading them books, and if i am tired or don't know what else to do, i put on Mama Mia or Dirty Dancing cd and dance and sing with them like a mad woman!!![IMG]

I agree with everyone else, I sing do Tina Turner's 'Rollin on the River', jump, dance, count with my hands for them, do ABC's, the whole A is for Apple thing, etc etc. Let them look at each other, do facial expressions for sad, happy, laugh even when something isnt funny so they can learn and know me and when mommys happy. Walk around the house with them and point things out if we cant go outside bc of the weather. Sometimes I will turn on a cooking show or some other show and find something cool to talk about and make some really cool (at least they think so) facial expressions. They dont care what I look like, they just want to see me, so I entertain them with whatever I can find. Walk with them and sing, dance, tummy time. But I promise, some days Im not into jumping and dancing. And I just sing and talk to them about everything that Im doing and make the facial expressions, so Im at least interatcing even when Im not jumping around, a sister can only do it so much these days.

You sound like you are just doing great! I would echo a PPs "dancing" comment. I picked a couple of songs I love - one was that MAC commercial song...can't think of the name but it is happy with a good piano beat..lyrics are..."I'm a new soul, I came to this strange world hoping I could learn a bit 'bout how to give and take.." Just a suggestion. They REALLY know that song now and get so excited when I put it on and dance and sing to it - even now. Repetition has it's advantages. Oh, and mine REALLY caught on to Blues Clues - nothing else though - weird. :)
