Ainsley and Bea got these beads for their birthday. I'll be totally honest and tell you I freaked a little at all those beads, and put them away, saying we'll break them out in winter when we're climbing the walls. Well, they found them, and really really really wanted to play with them. I said OK, and except for dropping them occasionally (I insist that they pick up dropped beads immediately due to cats and Caleb), this is a fabulous product! They are "pop" beads, so they snap together and they can make all kinds of creations and then take them apart. I really like this, so it's not just oh we made a necklace, end of fun. I'm amazed at their creativity, and how they aren't just making necklaces and bracelets, but people, animals, dragons, all kinds of things. They really have a lot of fun with it and have played with them for over an hour at a sitting. These get a big thumbs up from me!

Those look awesome (though I would definitely share the "yikes, all those beads!" initial reaction) -- thanks for the suggestion!

Cool, thanks! I think Nadia would like them, as she forever wants to make necklaces...and now we have 100 necklaces sitting around collecting dust. Plus, her fine motor needs some work, so great for that, too.

Brooklyn loves necklaces. She will probably love these. Although she is a little bit younger than your girls. I will probably wait to get them, but it is good to know about them. :good: Thanks for sharing!

I agree. :good: My oldest DD has pop beads from when she was 4 and Emilie and Trevor love playing with them. In fact, that reminds me I need to get some more, we don't have enough for 2 kids to play with.

Yes, they would. My DS LOVES them!!

FYI, they're on sale at Target right now for $12 or so. I bought two, figuring we could give one as a gift (or just keep two!).

Laura, I don't know if your kids still put things in their mouths, but these are really small for 2-year-olds! I'll be keeping them far away from K&K for some time to come.

Just a helpful hint, we dumped them out of the container they came in and put them in a shallow Tupperware container. Easier for them to look through the beads forcthe one they want.
I definitely would not get them for 2 yr olds. The age on the label says 4 and up. They are pretty small and they would need the fine motor skill to put them together.
