    Hello Everyone!

This is my firs time here. I am a first time mom to twin girls, Kate & Isabelle. They are 3months old now, I can hardly believe it!
We just started getting out and about now more often and I have discovered the Baby Trend Snap n' Go double stroller frame. I wish I had known about it months ago! My question is: do the graco safeseats clip in? I've read mixed reviews, and can't find out on the company website. Also, at 3 months already, would it be a waste of money to buy a snap n' go now?
Any input or advice would really be appreciated!

    Thanks everyone
    Melissa

If you look on the right side it shows that the Graco Snugride and Snugride 32 work, if you open the manual and use the configuration for those, then your Graco Safeseat will work.

I have Chicco Keyfit 30's and on that page that I just showed you it says they fit, but when I opened the manual it didn't have a configuration for them. I had to figure it out on my own. It's really easy to use once you get it figured out. It's kind of long, but I've managed. Then again, we've only had our babies home about 3 weeks. I hope this helps!

Worked for me! I had the safe seats and used the snap n go with no problems. I remember becoming very discourage because I thought it didn't fit, but then I read the instructions again and configured it the correct way and it worked great! It is a great stroller and i know most everyone uses them, but not sure for how long. I only used mine until they were about 5 months old. So, not sure if I would buy one at this point, but I'm sure there are others who may say it's a good idea.

I have both a snap and go and the double stroller graco travel system and I hate the snap and go. the carseats just don't seem stable in it for me, even with the strap. I also find the strap goes right across where their faces are and I don't like that either. I also think that the name snap and go doesn't fit because the carseats certainly don't snap in securely like the travel systems do. I would call it stick it, strap and go LOL! It is very light though so if you don't want to lug a double stoller around then it's a lighter alternative. And since it's relatively inexpensive even if you don't use it that long you could still try and sell it on craigslist afterwards. Good luck deciding!!

I have the DSNG that was bought almost 18 months ago... I LOVE IT... and I'm still using it! I think part of the 'flimsy' feel goes away once the babies start weighing a little more... Also, when ours were about 6 months old, my dh put the carseat closest to me in backwards... and instead of facing me, it faces the other twin... THAT is the key to being able to still be using it! They are feet to feet and have plenty of room, they don't have the back of the other carseat infringing on their space...

anyway, our twins are lightweights... just now 20 & 22 pounds at 17 months... and with the Graco SafeSeat carseats they are built so that the babies can be taller and I love being able to bring them out of the car in their carseat when they are sleeping... and actually I have 2 of them. one that goes from inside the house to the attached garage and stays there. the 2nd one that I got used for only $50 stays in the car... saves me packing it up each car ride. Since our car is so far from the house it is the only way transport two active kids until they are able to mind a little better.

Also, for me, I wanted a stroller that was small and lightweight... the DSNG was it for me.

    good luck choosing.

I have the safe seats also. I was worried becaused they didn't "snap" into the stroller frame, & I contacted the company who said that the snap'n'go fits graco snugride, but is NOT compatible with the safe seat. I know a few twin mothers who have still used it, making sure that the strap was well fastened, but I was always too nervous. We live in the city, & the sidewalks are terrible - I was always worried that the seat wasn't able to snap securely into the frame.

So there you have it - you can make it work, but the company says the seats are NOT compatible.

i borrowed a DSNG from my neighbor and was not able to get the safeseats to feel secure in it so i never used it... when i looked at the manual online it didn't have a configuration for the safeseat either, but maybe they have changed it now.

My safe seats work will in the snap and go, you have to wiggle the seat side to side sometimes to get it to snap in place but it does and I have never had a problem with it. I also love the idea of facing them towards eachother and am going to try that because I don't use it anymore because it felt like there wasn't any leg room left. Good luck

So is mine just not configured right then? I have the Graco Snugrides and they do not snap in place..you just set them on there and have to use the belt to keep them in place...just curious. If they actually snapped in securely then I would really like mine!

Thanks everyone for your responses! It is so confusing how some people have had good experiences with the safeseats in the snap n' go, while others have not. The idea of switching one seat around so the babies can face eachother and use the frame longer is great! I guess what I'll have to do is buy one and if the carseats don't work, return it!

Thanks again for all your input!

I think the difficulty is the new DSNG fits the safe seats but the older versions don't. If I remember right that is, seems like someone noted that on here at one time.

Anyways, personally at 3 months old I would skip the DSNG and invest in a good side by side (or tandem if that's what you prefer) stroller. At 3 months we switched the babies to convertible seats and started using our combi twin stroller. I love that thing, it gets used daily sometimes! As long as you have a stroller with a reclining seat, you can lay baby back in it and it's perfectly safe! :)

OMG I agree with you 100% on this.
We wanted to take our boys on their first walk today and tried putting carseats in the snap and go. The carseats didn't seem stable at all and I didn't feel very comfortable putting my boys in it. So tonight I went out and bought them a Graco DuoGlider Stroller and it is much more stable than the snap and go. Hope this helps and good luck.

So I went out today and bought the snap n' go. I got the floor model, so got a bit of a deal on it. I refused to leave the store without making sure that the safeseats snap in. Sure enough, after adjusting the horizontal silver bars, both seats snapped into place. There is definitely no room between the seats, but they do indeed snap in. Now I have a question for Maybell: how did you put the one carseat in backwards? Is is just sitting in and strapped in but not "snapped" into place?? Just curious.

Truly it just sits there. I did strap it in, and that seemed to be good. but our babies are closer to 20 pounds now and I think their weight keeps that seat in snug. Also... to get it in you kind of have to tuck the top in under the handle that you drive the stroller with... the red part on the back of the carseat still "clicks" into place... its just not secured b/c its just a 1/4" or less piece of metal that its hooking to... not the molded piece of plastic that would keep it really snug. To release you still have to pull up on the red handle thing on the back of the carrier. I also make sure to put it in with the carrier handle straight up over their heads, then I lower it back so that its not over their head, it will hit on the cup holder part of the stroller, but will be fine.

Sorry I'm so lengthly... but truly I love the stroller...just today we went to a story time and I clicked them from the car to the stroller, then wheeled them to the room where it was located. They got to enjoy story hour then I was able to strap them in their carseats in the stroller in the cool air conditioned room and the roll them back to the car and click them in and go... I can't say enough about getting a system where you can use the carseats for a long time... at least you have the option to keep using it if you choose.

Awesome Maybell! Thanks so much for your reply, and for the pics. It really helps to see how you got the carseats facing one another. I'm so excited about my purchase, and that now I'll be able to prolong the use of it! Yey! I live in Northern Canada, so being able to keep the girls snuggled in their carseats in the cold weather will be great!
    Thanks again!
