I have a gift certificate for SIGG...does anyone have or use the kids water bottles they sell? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks :)

We have some and have loved them but my sister told me recently that the inside coating contains BPA- you might want to look into that.

Here is a copy of their new stand on BPA. They claim that their new line of ECOCare bottles are BPA free and have been tested. I found that their customer service is fantastic but I know a lot of people are leary of them because they mistated the fact that their earlier bottles leaked trace amounts of BPA, which they claim to have changed now with the new liners.

We love their bottles for adults.

I agree they have an excellent customer service. We've been using their bottles for a couple of years now. I think that what they mistated was that their (old) liners CONTAINED any BPA at all, rather than that they leaked BPA - which they totally deny. In a letter offering us new-for-old replacement bottles with the new non-BPA lining they said they were offering this even though their old lining did not leak the BPA, just contained it.

    But we love their bottles.

Yep...I had two adult-sized bottles with the old liner and sent them back through their "exchange program" for replacements with their new ECO-liner. However, I cannot find suitable replacements (size and color) for our large bottles, so I thought I might get the kiddos their own (they have a much better selection in that size!). My LOs are only 15 months, but I am thinking down the road, they might be fun.

So do you all like the kid-sized bottles and spout? Thanks :)

We have two of their water bottles for kids. I really like them if you are looking for a bottle strictly for water. I wouldn't use them for anything else, because I find them extremely difficult to clean (especially the lids)!

Yes, you're exactly right, Lisa, I didn't say that correctly.

We had some of these for the kids when they were babies (around 12 mos) but they are very heavy and kind of dangerous when full, so definitely not good for kids around 15 months, IMO. We had a couple go flying and they really could have hurt someone. I also am not a huge fan of using aluminum bottles (even with a liner) thanks to the link to Alzheimer's. I also agree that they are kind of tough to clean and I always felt like I wanted to be able to see that they were clean inside (not feasible with the small opening). I have opted to go for Nalgene's plastic bottles... but that's just me and largely based on personal bias. I'm not thrilled with plastic of any kind, either, but it's what makes me feel best.
