How to keep her pants up

Poor no-butted Hannah can't keep her pants up and constantly has plumber's crack. Belts don't help (since no matter how tight the pants' waists are, they still slip right over her no-butted butt. I can't use suspenders (or can I?) so any other suggestions for those with similarly booty-challenged kids?

 

Elastic waists? That is just about all Sarah wears anyway, but on the few days when I manage to get her in jeans or khakis, we have the same problem. We have one pair of Levis with the adjustable waist, cinched practically all the way in, and they still slip down.

As an aside, did you actually find belts for toddlers? I've been wondering if such a thing exists.

 

I agree with PP, elastic waists. I do see a lot of cracks hanging out, but I prefer the covered bottom especially in the cold weather.

 

My dd doesn't have much of a butt, either. What I try to look for in pants are a shorter length from crotch to waist. She actually has a pair of pants (I think Bongo) with no waist adjusters, but that waist is shorter & they stay up just fine! Certain brands seem better than others; we've never had a pair of Old Navy's fit right. Children's Place are a little better. Cherokee isn't too bad.

 

I have a buttless daughter too. Fortunately she likes to wear dresses with leggings. The dresses more than cover the crack.

Also, I've recently discovered that Land's End pants work well for her. High quality elastic, I guess?

 

I did find belts, but they came with the jeans... today I saw several pair on the 4t pants at kohls. I'm not sure what name brand they were but I think they were Sonoma. Unfortunately, they were the jeans with designs on them instead of being plain, so I bought the plain instead... something a singleton mom might not worry about but we know well... designs only breed fighting.

I have two buttless boys, and so far the best solution I've come up with is pants with elastic waist, rolled once at the waist. Most elastic-waisted pants are STILL too wide at the waist for my guys, but rolling the waist over seems to generally do the trick. We tried suspeners, but they just want to play with them the whole time.
Last year I put them in overalls all the time, but they're newly potty-trained, so I can't do that so much this year.
Sigh... are they too young for butt implants?

 

My 3 yr old son is butless. lol :laughing: My 5 yr old son is/was not. So, the hand me downs that come from older DS are usually too big in the waist for DS2. I roll them at the waist. . .even jeans. If that is what I find for him to wear, I usually try to make it work somehow.
(Disclaimer: I am a fulltime work outside the home mom, and when I havent prepared well, my kid suffers for being but-less) :blush:

 

I have one of those. She's the one on the right pictured peering into the pumpkins inTHIS post. I have started buying lots of leggings and dresses, skirts or long shirts like the PP suggested. I also roll them over at the top, but we've had several episodes of pants falling down in public recently so I'm going to have to adjust the wardrobe since she doesn't seem to be adjusting the booty.

 

My dd used to have the same problem. I had the hardest time finding belts that actually got tight enough. I actually went to the pet store and got leather dog collars so they got tight enough to hold he pants up.

 

I hadn't thought of that! I might have to make a trip to Petsmart this weekend. :laughing:

 

We ordered some of these when they were on sale awhile ago: Myself Belts.

I haven't used them yet since the boys rarely wear pants in the summer and all of their shorts (most are elastic waist) fit them well. It's finally getting cool enough to occasionally use pants, so I might try them in the next few weeks.

My Addison is butt less! poor girl lost her pants in the grocery store the other day! I try to buy the pants with he adjustable waistbands and I also buy leggings! Also, she wears overalls a good bit (not potty trained yet). She is so tiny all over!
