Nah. DD used to nap in her swing all the time and just one day she didn't want to anymore. :)

I didn't think so. They started napping in their cribs around 5 months with no issues at all. I thought it was great when I could get them to nap in their swings!! I had a hard time getting them off me!! ;)

I don't think napping in the swing is so bad. I was always way more lenient with what I would let them do at naptime than at bedtime. My theory was that eventually they would give up naps, but getting to sleep at night is a life skill. So, by that age I was starting to try to get them to sleep at night in their cribs, but for naps it was whatever worked.

I don't think so. For me, I set a time(4 mths, 6 mths) and stuck to it-and quit cold turkey! My boys slept swaddled in their carseats at night for four months(don't ask-that was all dh) and slept in their swings swaddled for nap, for six months. I just stopped it one day and never looked back! You do what works for you right now!

Same here - we had a very easy transition. They just didn't want to anymore - they looked like they wanted to stretch out - I tried them in their cribs and that is where they have napped ever since. I miss those three hour naps though! :)

No problem at all for us either - those swings saved my life - I was worried about moving them to their beds eventually, but had zero problems. I LOVED those swings. They napped well, and when they were really upset or fussy, even at 12-18 months, the swings often calmed them down. Go for it! It gives you a break and them a break.

Mine napped in swings until 7 months and the transition was a piece of cake.

Totally normal and not a bad habit at all. Up until 5 months mine would nap in their swing or bouncer all day because they would fall asleep there and I didn't want to move them. It wasn't a hard adjustment to get them to nap in their cribs.

Mine took pretty much every nap in their swing until about 6.5 months and they started fighting the naps there. They went right to their crib with no problems at all.
