What in the world is going on!

My girls are definitely capable of STTN, they do (did) it every night with the exception of occasionally waking for a bottle in the early morning. However, since middle of last week they've been eating EVERY THREE hours throughout the night!! What in the trail blazes is going on here!! And, they don't wake up at the same time to eat, so essentially I'm waking up every 1.5 hours to feed- I feel like they're 1 month old again. HELP!! Is it just a phase or do you think this will stick? They will be 7 months old this coming weekend.

 

Oh poor you!! Have you tried soothing them back to sleep using a paci? Or letting them CIO? Maybe they are waking up and don't know how to get themselves back to sleep and are eating to go back to sleep. I have also heard that when they are working on a new skill they tend to 'practice' in the night and that will wake them up.
My LO's were waking up a lot in the night a couple of weeks ago and we finally did CIO, and since then they have been STTN. They wake up occasionaly, and we let them CIO and so far it has taken less than 10 minutes for them to fall back to sleep.
I hope this phases passes for you quickly!

 

Are they eating enough during the day? And are they teething? I know that when my girls are teething it's hard for them to finish their bottles during the day and they will wake up more during the night to eat.

 

Could be teething or it could be they are going through a bit of a growth spurt & are needing extra calories. Either way, I'm betting it's just a phase & they will be back to sleeping for you soon. :hug:

We did CIO a long time ago and everything was great..the only problem is, if they CIO in the middle of the night they wake the other baby and then we have two crying babies and it's a big mess!! Any advice on that?

 

We would just let them both CIO. Hard, but it worked.
