My boys put themselves on the 2-3-4 nap schedule and its been going pretty well. I don't know if its a fluke but the last couple days they are fighting the first nap. I think they could go 3 hours now. What do you do then? 3 hours then earlier bedtime 4 hours later? They have been going to bed around 6 more than their usual 7p bedtime. Any advice? Thank you!!:)

I don't have any advice on dropping the naps. Hoping to see some good answers here :) Mine are basically on a 2-3-4 but I follow HSHHC as well. It's all pretty much the same. Mine still go down pretty easily in the morning so I'm hoping they keep it for a while longer. LOL Could you do like a 3-3-4 or would that push their bedtime too late?

If they are fighting it, I would shift it to a half hour later & see what happens. If that helps, then you might have to shift the whole schedule a bit. Mine went to two naps between 9 & 10 months.

They only take 2 naps now as it is...they usually only sleep 1hour in the a.m. and 1-2 hours in the afternoon. Bedtime is technically the 3rd nap.
I might try shifting it back and hoping for a longer afternoon nap and we'll adjust bedtime from that:)

That sounds like a good plan. Let us know how it goes!

Sorry no tips here ours still do the 2-3-4ish schedule BUT i have noted the 2nd nap is getting more like an hour instead of the 2 i've been used to :escape: Isn't it annoying when you get a good schedule down and they change it out of the blue! TBH (i will most likely regret saying this) i can't wait for naps to be done with, they have been nothing but stress lol

My girls have just recently started doing this to. I was actually going to post a question about it tonight! They have been taking up to an hour to fall asleep! I tried putting them down earlier and later. The only thing that seemed to work a little was putting them down 4 hrs later, which was totally not planned, but they had a dr's appt and it wouldn't work any other way! That was the only day lately that they have just fallen asleep without a problem. Would it be way to early to have them only doing one nap? It feels like this has been going on for at least a couple of weeks, if not longer. It is starting to wear me down!
