So I used to be a big fan of Desitin (the maximum strength one), but Ryan's got a diaper rash now that won't seem to go away. It's strange because none of my LOs have had anything more than a little redness. I'm not sure if I need to try a different diaper rash cream or if we need to head in to the doctor. What kind of diaper rash cream do you like?

Aveeno is my fav. I also try to use Pampers diapers when rashes start as sometimes my boys get allergic to generics.

I like the Desitin creamy - even better than the regular Desitin. Always worked for us. Good luck!

We mainly use regular, original Desitin.

Pinkxav (pronounce Pink Salve) is my all time favorite! You have to ask for it behind the pharmacy counter but its not that expensive. We've only had 1 diaper rash in our house from an antibiotic and it was cleared up in 1 day!! We call it the butt spackle bc thats the consistency it is:)

We use the Earth Mama Angel Baby bottom balm. Its *awesome* and its all-natural ... but if Desitin won't clear it up I wonder if it isn't a yeast rash or something.. :(

this has been our sure fire way of staying clear from diaper rash...we bought the johnson's and johnson's cornstarch with zinc. we powder some on them after every diaper change. at bedtime we put a big glob of aquaphor on them. they haven't had a rash (well, only once because we tried out walmart's store brand diapers). definitely use the aquaphor, it really does help with with diaper rashes.

You want the cure all diaper rash cream? Its Burts Bees's Diaper ointment! its about $9.00 for a tube but it take it away pretty quick. Tyler has SUPER sensitive skin so when he gets a diaper rash its bad. Im talking bleeding and everything. The Dr. didnt want to write a rx so he said to try Butt Paste. That didnt work, I tried EVERY single other type of diaper and non diaper rash cream and ointment on him and NOTHING worked. I even did the hydrocortison and zinc oxide and it did nothing. With in 241 hours of putting the Burts Bees ointment on Tyler he looked 100 times better then he did. The rash was totally gone 2 days later.

I will never use another diaper cream again, its expensive but it works!

Ditto! Triple paste is good stuff. Expensive but worth it when your baby's got a blistered, bleeding rash.

I second this!!! Burts Bees is the only thing that works on my lo, even the rx stuff.

I love Aquaphor. Usually that clears it right up. If it's real stubborn I go with Beaudroux's Butt Paste.

My girls seem to get mostly yeast rashes (small red bumps) and none of the regular diaper creams work on that. You have to get athlete's foot cream (Lotrimin).
