Entertainment systems

My guys have never watched TV or videos, but I really think I'll need to start giving them something to do in the car during long trips. Since they're going to be rear facing for a while, I think they'll get bored looking at the back of the seat for 3 hours!

Does anyone here have a DVD/TV system set up in their vehicle so that rear-facing kids can watch it? Is that even possible??

 

I've not seen it done but maybe if you get a portable DVD system you can set it up so that they are watching it? ardon: I would just make sure that it's very securely installed so it doesn't go flying, just in case.

Yeah that would scare me too... but honestly we've all grown up without tv in the car and we survived (although our parents might not have... lol).

 

We have a portable system that has a carrying case. You can strap the DVD player into the case. It also comes with straps that you can use to hang it in between 2 seats. We got the case and player at Best Buy. My duo don't watch TV yet though. This is for our oldest at this point.

 

I was just wondering this too. We have a long trip coming up in December and the girls will probably still be rear facing. I'm curious if anyone else has used DVD players with rear facing kiddos.
