Stacking coupons

Hi Everyone!

I thought I saw a post a long time ago about stacking coupons at BRU. Do they do this? I'm just wondering because I received a flier that said if you turn in a used item such as a high chair, car seat, bassinet, etc. you would get a 20% off coupon towards a purchase on a car seat (or some other things). Plus there is a 10% off on any car seat coupon in the flier. PLUS there is a 15% of coupon towards any item. I want to buy a Britax Marathon seat. Could I use all three? If so, I'd be saving over $100! I don't want to get my hopes up yet. Store isn't open yet so I thought I'd ask the experts...you guys.

 

I have no idea, but it would be worth a quick phone call to ask them. That would be great if you could save that much money!

 

Did you read the fine print on the coupons? Usually in tiny writing it will say something like "not to be used with any other offers" or something along those lines.

 

I agree with Aimee, I know my BRU is very stingy with coupons. I would definitely ask the store before you go ahead and do it.

 

I'm not sure with the new trade-in offer they have but from my experience when an item was discounted I got the discount and was able to us my 15% off coupon.

This is why I thought I might be able to use them: A few weeks ago I decided to buy a different bouncy seat because I didn't like one of the ones I had. There was a BRU coupon for all Fisher Price bouncy seats 20% off. There was also the 15% coupon for any item but the fine print said you couldn't use it with any other promotions. So I went to Toys R Us, got my bouncy seat and a few other things. At check out, I used the FP coupon, and I handed her the 15% coupon as well. I thought it would be used on one of the other items I had, but she said it automatically takes it off the most expensive item. So I was able to use both on the seat!

*Update: I called BRU and the lady said I couldn't use multiple coupons on one item. I don't know why I was able to on the bouncy seat. Maybe the lady wasn't supposed to allow it to happen. Who knows. :unknw: Maybe I will go to Toys R Us to buy the car seat and try to use at least two of the coupons. Wouldn't hurt to try I guess.

 

Not sure, but right now www.albeebaby.com is haveing a GREAT sale on Britax marathons. No tax or shipping. I found at BRU, you were limited to the color they had in the store and if you did it online you had to get the same print. albeebaby ended up being cheaper, and I got the prints I wanted!!

 

You can't use multiple BRU coupons, but you can use a BRU coupon plus a manufacturers coupon.

I was able to use a 15% off coupon, plus the 10% multiple birth discount last weekend. It might not hurt to ask for that, in addition to a coupon.

 

My DH bought car seats there recently and they would NOT let him use the 15% off coupon and get the multiple birth discount. Maybe it depends on who checks you out, or the store you go to?

 

We went to BRU last weekend and bought the twins convertible carseats -- we used the 10% off all convertible carseats coupon, had 2 15% off coupons, and then the 10% multiples discount. 2 99 dollar carseats ended up costing us 150 with tax and everything... you may want to just go and try.

 

I bought Britax Boulevards and stacked coupons at BRU. I paid $190 for a $310 carseat!

how do you get a multiple birth discount? i worked at toys r us for a while and you could some times do the multiple coupons...it really does depend on the store and who is checking you out and how they "manipulate" the sale...

 

You have to ask for it if you are purchasing 2 exact same items over $75 each. Some stores let you get by with 2 items in different colors, but others don't. You can't use the discount online. I really do think it's all about who is checking you out.

 

I just wanted to post that we just bought our convertable carseats this weekend, and used the multiples discount, the 20% trade in coupons (2), open a card 10% off coupon, 15% put on a card coupon, and 10% off carseat coupon on two carseats. So, YES they stack!!!! We ended up getting one carseat for $110, and one for $96!!! Stacking coupons is a lifesaver for us!!! THis stuff is so expensive!! :blush:

WOW!! It is crazy the difference. We did this for our cribs and furniture too, and had no trouble!! You would think with a retail corporation there would be no difference store to store! I am now even more grateful for the discount!

 

I went to BRU last night to get a video monitor. And I was able to purchase a 179.99 monitor for 122.98 with stacking coupons. I had a coupon for 20% off the Summer brand monitors and then I was able to use the 15% on one baby item coupon. I was actually able to buy two of them since my mom had the coupons too. She stays with us during the week so we wanted two hand helds for each of us and a camera on each of the kids. We had to purchase each sepearatly but we were able to do it.

 

I have only had luck doing this in the store. Usually I just hand the coupons and the worker tries. I might be lucky but I can always find someone willing to try. The computer always lets them stack the 15% off coupon - maybe it is different from others?

 

Where do you find the 15% off coupon? I see a 10% off on carseats, but would like to have that extra 5!

 

Mine was on the front of the brouchure. It's a card that you peel it off the front.

Just wanted to let you all know that I went to the store and tried this today! I went to the Customer Service desk before I went through all of the hassle for nothing, and he said "we'll make it work". Anyway, I was able to get the 20% trade-in coupon, 10% multiple discount, and another 10% off discount! :woo:
