Are you CERTAIN about their positions? I thought that some of the movement I felt was B, but then the u/s tech showed me exactly where they were and now I know that it was A I felt.

well, i am kind of confused... my doc does u/s just to check on the fluids and stuff and she tells me that baby b is head down and baby a is breech and that may be why i don't feel a as much... yesterday that i went to get my reg. u/s with the tech she tells me they are both head down.. so i am confused on who i am feeling.. i feel lots and lots of kicks on my right side of my tummy. I feel a few on the left side... i guess i am paranoid.. i am sure they are both fine and of course one has to be more active than the other.. but still.. i didn't know if i was the only one confused. Plus i didn't start feeling them feeling them until like 20 some weeks.. soooo idk...

    thanks!

You know, I had fraternals too, and always thought I was only feeling A. But, B was moving just as much. During one US the doc said it was baby B, and I felt the movement where I always thought it was baby A! So hard to tell, plus them move less and less as you run out of room!

Poke yourself in the left top abdomen and see if that helps. It definitely gets mine moving around. My A baby was a lot less active than B until about a week ago (I am 23 weeks now). My OB said it was normal and not to worry as long as I felt "some" movement. It could also be the position they are in. If baby is facing your back, it makes it hard for her to kick you in the tummy. Or baby could just be kicking her brother, not you.

I would definitely call your nurse. And at your next u/s, have the tech take the wand and show you exactly where each baby's head, abdomen, and feet are. She ran the wand over me and said "here's his head...." and so on. That helped me out a lot and now I have very few unidentifiable kicks.

I thought I was doing really well telling them apart until I had an ultrasound that showed one had moved and then I was totally confused. Mine are both head down (for the moment) so I figure if all 4 corners of my tummy move things are good! My baby A is more active. The nurse said because B is smaller it can hide better so that is why it is harder to tell sometimes. As long as you feel movement in different areas its probably all fine. I know it can be a little nerve wracking when you haven't felt one move as much as the other :)

yeah well like i said ... i get confused.. my doc said one thing and the tech said another. I do feel movement but not as much as i do on my right side. I even try to press on my left side and i don't feel much.. that's why i worry... but on the u/s they both look like they are moving so much... :( ... they gave me their weights yesterday baby A 2lbs and baby B 1lb 13 oz. ....

i will def. ask again.... go to my next appt. sept. 2nd.

    thanks for all the feedback...

I am 23 weeks tomorrow and I feel A more then B. they are both transverse, and A is REALLY low in my pelvis, and B is high in my ribs. I feel B in my ribs from time to time, but no real big movements like A.

I feel baby A moving much more than B too....and my baby B is bigger. I think it's just the way he's sitting in there. We've been in u/s watching him move around like crazy and I still don't feel a thing...OB said his placenta is in the front cushioning him. So not necessarily something to worry about! :)

This was exactly our situation. I always felt Baby A more, since the placenta was cushioning Baby B. It worried me a little, but both girls were perfect and healthy all through pregnancy, and have been ever since. Go with your instincts, if you feel something is wrong, get it checked out. But feeling one babe and not the other is pretty normal.

    Best wishes!

I'm almost 23 weeks and I feel Baby A all the time(at least 15 times a day)! Baby B on the other hand I feel (if I'm lucky) once a day. It was confimed at my 20 week u/s that Baby B's placenta is anterior (against my tummy not my back) which blocks a lot of her moving. I'm sure once they get bigger you will be able to tell whos moving since they wont have much room to hide.

I feel Baby B all.the.time (I swear the girl never sleeps) but Baby A, I have to poke and poke at my stomach to try to even feel her a little bit. My OB said it's normal due to her position but it still worries me sometimes. I'm thankful we have a Doppler so when I need some reassurance I can pull that out.

I had this concern two days before my last ultra sound, and it turns out the "quiet" one wasn't that quiet really just turned in a position that he was kicking his brother instead of me. :slap:
