I know I am not going to get an exact answer, but my boyfriend is deploying in a month to Iraq and we are trying to figure out how much money to expect to spend on these little rascals each month. Thanks in advance for your help :)

    Hmmm...

    Diapers~$160 (about 900 diapers)
    Formula~$180-225
    Wipes~$20
    Sleepless night~too many to list

A lot! I'm sure I'm missing some other basics but my brain is a tad fried :)

Once we were able to be on generic (Target brand) formula and they did 4 8oz bottles a day (from about 4 mos on), our budget was about $300/month for diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.

I would say that we spend about $250 a month. Most of our formula is through WIC, so we save a ton there. The majority of money is spent on diapers and wipes.

Our budget is $500/month. We are on Neosure formula and it's one of the more expensive formulas, so it adds up quickly (the ped wants us to stay on that until they are 1 because of being early). Some months are more, some are less. You have to factor in odds and ends like clothes, baby proofing, sippies, lotions, etc...

for my 5-month-olds (breastfeed only right now):

$180-$200 month on diapers (diapers.com Pampers)
    $13.00 on wipes (Parent's choice 754 pack - $12.99 at Target)
$25.00 - $50.00 on miscellaneous (rice cereal, baby tylenol, a new toy, etc.)

On the high end, round up to $300/month to include doctor's appt co-pay or other hidden costs.

    $160 + on diapers
    Maybe $20 on wipes (I don't have big poopers! ;) )
    $250 + on formula

Probably about $500 if you include misc items like baby wash, lotion, tylenol and such, toys, new clothes...etc.

    $100 wipes/diapers
    $200 formula
    $100-200 clothes/toys/gear
$600 childcare (part time sitter, essential for my sanity)

I love diapers.com too, try to buy generic everything, buy gear/clothes off of my twins club classifieds, and wait for sales and clip coupons to save money.

I would say $300 - $400 per month for the first year.

$50 a month on diapers (we use the Target brand)
    $10 a month on wipes
$50 a month on toys, clothes, misc.
$10 a month on vitamin drops, Tylenol, gas drops
$20 a month on fruits and veggies (I make my own baby food)

Maybe I'm really underestimating here? (I breastfeed, so no formula expense).

I think we averaged $400 a month for the first year - we go to Target once a month and buy everything we need for the month - diapers, overnight diapers, wipes, formula (first year), baby food, baby wash, pacifiers, diaper cream, etc., plus whatever we need for the stage we are in - more bottles/nipples, sippies, plates, utensils, bibs, etc., plus clothes and toys and books. Now that we are out of formula and baby food, we average $200. We always have non-baby stuff in the Target trip too, so it's hard to say for sure.

    I'm with you.

    $70 a month on diapers
    $15 a month on wipes
$50 a month on toys, clothes, misc.
$20 a month on food (I make my own and breastfeed)

So basically we spend about $150 a month for the twins.

    At 4 months,
$60 a month on formula (I mostly breastfeed but sometimes it isn't enough)
    $50 - $100 clothes/toys/creams/washes/etc

I use cloth diapers and wipes, so I have no information about them except my initial investment which was $250.

    I spend approximately:
$ 45.00 on diapers - $0.15 per diaper bought on sale and coupons used and I use about 10 diapers a day or 300 a month
$125.00 on formula - $12.50 per can of formula bought on sale, in bulk and use 10 cans a month = $125.00
$ 10.00 on wipes - bought on sale in bulk
$ 20.00 on tylenol, penaten, a clothing item etc.
$ 25.00 on cereal, baby mum-mums, and making homemade baby food.

    $225.00 total. I don't buy any non-essentials beyond the mum-mums.
