Am I the only one who doesn't give morning snacks?

Just wondering. They have breakfast at 8am and lunch at 11.30am-12pm and they never complain for a snack (they wouldn't eat lunch if I gave them a snack anyway).

My kids aren't in the same age range as yours, but, I don't do morning snack either and never have.

We do breakfast at about 8:30-9:00 am (my kids sleep late) and lunch at about noon, so there isn't much time in between. They are never screaming hungry at lunch time so I think they are fine.

Really depends on what time and how much breackfast they eat. We aim for 6.30/7 breakfast and so they really can't go till 11/1.15 without a small snack - I usually give this around 8.30 (no later than 9 or they won't eat lunch) - so it's really a top up of breakfast so I know they can get through till lunch.

I don't give morning snacks, either...breakfast around 8am, and then lunch after their morning nap (we're still at 2 naps). They don't seem to be as hungry for lunch as they are for dinner, so I'm guessing they don't need a snack. And believe me, my girls will let me know if they are even remotely hungry.

I give them cereal in a snack trap when they first wake up and a sippy of milk, usually around 7-7:30. Once they finish their cereal, I give them yogurt and a banana in their high chair, which is usually around 9. Lunch is at 11:30. I guess if I gave them breakfast right when they woke up, I might do an am snack.

We've never done morning snacks. They get a sippy of milk when they wake up (between 7 and 8), breakfast between 9 and 10, and lunch between 12 and 1.

I didn't give my girls morning snack but now they are in daycare they get snacks at like 9:30 and each lunch at 11:30. They don't eat as much at lunch as they used to but I am keeping to what they are used to in daycare.

Ditto this...that's the only reason we've ever done a morning snack is because mine have always eaten an early breakfast and would never make it to lunch time without a snack.

We do basically the same thing that you do. They've simply never seemed to need a morning snack.

Same here (then and now. :good: ) They've never shown any signs that they were starving before lunch so I never gave them one.

my girls don't get food between breakfast & lunch but they do nurse once (when they get up from their AM nap). when we drop that nursing session i'll offer them a sippy & some food at that time & probably push their lunch back a bit. otherwise, like everyone else they aren't "asking" for food or seem overly hungry by lunch time so i don't worry about it.

Mine don't get morning snacks either. They usually eat breakfast around 8 and have lunch between 11-12. They show no signs of hunger between breakfast and lunch.

My boys wake early (5:30am) and eat their breakfast at 6:00. They then get a snack at 7:30 at daycare when the other kids eat breakfast. If they didn't wake so early they would just eat breakfast at daycare.

No morning snacks here either. Breakfast around 8:30 and lunch around 12:00. They are fine until lunchtime.

no morning snacks given here either...
my two have milk in a sippy when they get up and breakfast and hour later and pretty much nap an hour after that so we have an early lunch (11am)
then snack before second nap, dinner at 5 and a snack before bed
    :)

We don't give morning snacks. We have a very similar schedule to yours. Breakfast at 7-8, lunch 11-12, snack in the afternoon when they wake up from nap around 3, and dinner at 6. On weekdays when they are in daycare, they have a snack before leaving the house and then breakfast at daycare. I could never figure out how to fit it in at home, and they don't seem to need it.
