Do you still call them babies?

I realized recently how often I still call them "The Babies" when I'm talking to another adult. How many of you still do this too? My "babies" are 19 months old! I'm always saying things like

    The babies are sleeping
We'll do that after the babies' nap
Would you change the babies' diapers?
    etc. etc.

Am I going to have to consciously train myself to stop saying this or will it happen on its own as they get older? I'm not sure I'm ready to stop calling them babies. It doesn't help that my girls are so small (19 pounds). They really look like babies yet.

Mine are still babies at 15 months. I'm not sure when they will no longer be babies! Maybe 3?

I still call them the babies sometimes and they are FOUR! I think it just gets so imprinted that it's hard to stop. And truthfully, they will always be my babies, even when they have babies of their own. I'll just try not to call them that if it will embarass (I can't seem to spell that right no matter how many times I try!) them, but here at home I have no idea when it will stop!

I switched to 'the girls' probably a couple of years ago, but when my family calls most of them still say "how are the babies doing?" lol so maybe its always going to stay that way

I still call my girls babies and they're almost 18 months. I guess they're "technically" toddlers but they're still my babies. :)

I call mine babies all the time. Oddly enough, I never refer to them as "the twins."

19 months old and mine still are the babies. The funny thing, my whole family still calls them the babies too! I justify it this way, these are the only kiddos DH and I will have (besides our cats), so they'll always be our babies!

We have babies in this house too, but we also call them toddlers and big boys, usually when we are trying to get them not to act up.

I have this problem, and because they are b/g there's nothing easy to switch to not "the boys, etc. I guess I say "the kids" but that only works for all three kids (can't leave out big sis!). I never think to say "the twins" though.

I have three year olds and they are still my babies. I think I'm going to call them that forever... or at least until I have another one. Yep... forever it will be. ;)

Mine are still "the babies", but so are the others. I usually only refer to the older ones as "my baby" to DH, but I still do it. I'm not sure how long I'll call the twins "the babies" since when I say "the girls" I'm usually talking about all 5.

Since I have a 3 month old, the twins are often called the "girls" now. I'm trying not to call them the "twins" but it is harder. It is easier than "the older two" or the "older girls". The baby is "the baby" or the "littlest one".

This is my problem, too!! I'd like to stop calling them "the babies" at least some of the time, but it's a pain to say both names all the time, and they are b/g so there's really no other good nickname. I really don't want to call them "the twins." My nieces are different ages and when I call, I can ask about "the girls." So what do people do with b/g siblings in general...not trying to hijack, just curious! Maybe I'll go with "the monsters" now that they are getting into everything...more fitting than the toddlers!
