I just don't know what do to in their schedule anymore....
they go to sleep on their own without any problems for the night and the morning nap
they sleep from 6-7 pm until 6-630 am.. then at 9:-11 am.
Ideally they would take a bottle around noon and then lunch, but ds does want anything
to do with a bottle..so I feed them solids (full lunch, fruit, veggies, meat)..and then
the bottle around 3:00 pm...which I still have to chase ds around.
When they finally go to sleep is around 3:30 and they are up around 4:15...
I don't mind short naps, but the crying...
the only time they fall asleep with out a problem is in the car after
a mommy and me class....but no longer than 40 min.

is it possible they're overtired? 4 hours seems like a long time to go between naps at that age. have you tried putting them down closer to 2:00pm?

Mine at that age were up at 7, down at 10-12, back down for a nap at 2:30 or so, then bed at 8. So, maybe they are getting overtired? I would try putting them down a bit earlier in the afternoon.

I also would try putting them down a bit earlier in the afternoon - maybe before the afternoon bottle?

I know all kids are different but I would agree with everyone else that they are overtired. My guys (eight months adjusted age) are typically up around 6 or 7, down for a nap at 9am (usually about an hour to an hour and a half). They go down for their afternoon nap by 1:30p (usually for an hour to an hour and a half) and then bed for the night at 7pm. One of my boys has a harder time settling down for naps and bedtime but he does so much better when he is well rested.

I tried about 2pm.. no screaming but they still only slept about 30-40 min and they were crankier by 6:00 pm... they were
    tooo tired...

maybe they are just not afternoon sleepers...

have you tried anything to help them extend their naps? we did CIO here, but i know there are lots of other options too if that's not something you're comfortable with. you could also just stick with the super short afternoon nap & try an earlier bedtime for a while & see what happens.
