My two were always able to get their bibs off as well. The ones that tie on stayed on best for us, I would sometimes double knot them so they couldn't untie them. And when it was warm enough I just fed them with no shirts on & cleaned them up after. :pardon:

I found that the Bumkins Junior Bibs worked well since they have a small sleeve. Made them harder to just pull off.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bibs made by www.PeanutandBeans.com.

They are handmade and the quality is amazing! I used them with DS4 for quite awhile and am putting in some custom orders for the girls.

This bib has been a major time-saver for me in the clean-up department and my girls can't get them off. It ties at the neck so they can't rip them off and has arm holes so it stays in place. It's long enough to cover their bottom half, so their clothes stay very clean. They're $15, but I only own four (two for the high chairs and two in the diaper bag), so it's worth it. I wipe them down after a meal or rinse them in the sink if needed, and only put in the washer every month or so when the neck trim gets crusty. Here are the bibs. They have many different colors.

The bibs that worked the best for us were ones that were made for us that slipped over their heads. They were great because they couldn't get them off. They had a soft elastic neck and worked wonderful. We used them until their heads got to big to slip over.

They figured out how to pull those out after one week. I wouldn't recommend them (although it's what we're still using as we haven't found better).

I have a few bibs that snap that they can't pull off, and the like the pp said, the bibs that you pull over their head work well too.

I have new ones that they got as a bday present. Really nice from a specialty shop that a friend owns, but they have a snap at the neck. My boys couldn't pull them off. So maybe look for something like that.

Do you want the bibs for mealtimes or just general drool-soakers? For general drool bibs I don't know what to tell you. I gave up on those a very very long time ago and just accept the fact the my boys will have wet slobbery shirts for part of the day - and change them if I feel the need to impress anyone with clean babies.

For meals, though, no bib would suffice other than the sleeved bibs from Ikea. They are fantastic!! They come in packs of 2 for about $4. They only come in blue and green, which is fine for my boys but not very girly for those with girls.

Bumkins makes a great sleeved bib, though those are much more expensive at about $17 each.

So far my boys haven't been able to remove the sleeved bibs and the bibs keep food from getting on any clothing, plus they have a pocket for picking up dropped bits. After I use them I just rinse them off in the water I use to wash their bottles and dishes, hang them to dry and they are ready to use about 2 hours later! Another plus - no stains and no laundry! They really are great!
