Just wondering when everyone vacuums with twinfants in the house. I tried doing it last night while the babies were sleeping and I woke Liam up. I'm hoping that if I keep doing it long enough they will just sleep through it. When do you vacuum?

I vacuum while they are awake now. They seem to enjoy watching. When they were younger (0-3 months), and slept most of the time, I was able to vacuum during their daytime naps. They would sleep right through it as long as I started in another room. I think that the noise slowly getting louder towards them made a difference instead of starting in or close to the room they slept.

I vacuum every night when they are in bed. If they stir, they usually fall back asleep. I used to run the vacuum when they were 2 months old because they were a bit fussy, so I think they are used to the noise.

When mine were newborns, I could vacuum with them in the room and they loved it. Now that they are older, the sound scares them, so I usually vacuum during naptime. We have fans going in their rooms, so they cannot hear the vacuum.

When they were infants I vaccumed while they slept. I also had fans going to they didn't notice the noise.

I always vacuumed while they were awake. They loved it & would usually quiet down if they were fussy.

I usually vacuum right when they first go down for a nap--we have hardwood floor though and not many rugs, so it doesn't take me very long. I found that the noise doesn't bother them -- I have white noise and a fan in their room and if they're really fussy it gives me a few minutes break from their crying).

I tried it with them in the room at 4months and both got hysterical so i took to doing it while they napped, they have white noise so it didn't disturb them. Nowadays they can tolerate the vacuum so i am back to doing it midmorning after the first nap.

Notice that I posted this when my infants are 9 months old... it's really the first time that I've thought about it!
