You can do it! Take it one day at a time, and give yourself shorter goals. It will seem less daunting to reach 3-4 weeks goals than the whole block you're in for! Before you know it, you will have reached the larger goal.

:) You can definitely do it. I was on bedrest for 14 weeks - 8 of those weeks in the hospital. My boys had TTTS as well.

I agree with the PP - set small goals. I needed something to look forward to, so I made sure to have a little something special every week or so - even a special meal brought to my house or the hospital. That helped. :)

You can do it, it's hard but best for those babies. I spent 15 weeks on bedrest. Just take it one day at a time and celebrate each week that goes by.

:) You are going to do great.

If you have any questions - anything at all - please don't hesitate to ask!! I was so blessed that my boys turned out so healthy that I want to pay it forward as much as possible.

Anyway - yep - we had laser surgery at 18 weeks. How far along are you? Are you having a weekly ultrasound? Many people suggest drinking Boost or Ensure drinks daily, and lying on your left side as much as possible.

Online shopping is great. :) It was nice to be able to get stuff for the boys even though I couldn't actually get out of the house and go shopping!

Im 24 weeks 1 day . I was having weekly ultrasounds till last monday My girls fluid levels are equal and both have a nice bladder and only have a 14% size difference Im in stage one and for 3 weeks have remained I did have one amnio however for comfort 1.6 liters. My doctor is Dr. De Lia Im sure you have herd of him but he says he wont need to see me for two weeks just do my bed rest and YES my yuky boost. Im so glad the surgery worked out and your boys are so healthy! I asked about the laser surgery because I wish I cud have gotten it but my case isnt bad enough I was diagnosed at I believe 21 weeks.did you do boost or ensure?? N can I ask why you stayed in the hospitol for so long ??? Also did you have a c-section?

Well, it is awesome that your babies are healthy enough to avoid the laser surgery! And Dr. De Lia is amazing so you are in really, really good hands! I spoke with Dr. De Lia on the phone several times. It did not work out for him to do my laser surgery - he was out of town and my boys could not wait until he got back.

I think I did Ensure. At first it was ok, but they did start to gross me out. :)

I did have a c-section, my boys were 31 weeks 6 days. They did really, really well and were in the NICU for about 6 weeks.

I was in the hospital for so long because there was a little complication that came from my laser surgery, and my babies ended up in the same amniotic sac and their cords were tangled.

You can buy protein (whey protein) at the health or bulk food store and mix up your own smoothies for a change from the pre-packaged ones. Another option is to just add skim milk powder to your smoothie. I try to avoid artificial flavoring and additives, so that's what I did in first trimester when I had problems chewing.

    Try:
    1 banana
    1/2 cup plain yoghurt
    1/4-1/2 cup skim milk
    1 1/2 tbsp whey protein
frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries) or mango
    honey to taste

Whiz in the blender! (I don't actually measure so I'm guessing at amounts here).

And if you can't have dairy, I don't know if the whey protein is ok or not, but you can do something similar using orange juice instead of milk/yoghurt and add some ice cubes.

Good luck! Even though I've got only one this time, my OB and I will be "discussing" bed rest at my 20 week appt because of the PTL I had the last time :(
