Ty's 6 month appt....

Ty had his 6 month appt yesterday. He was 13lbs 12on and 26 in long. I was concerned about his weight thanks to WIC. However the PED said he personally he was pleased with where he was. Ty has had solids on and off but not every day. Our Ped likes to wait to 6 months to really get into feeding solids and I agree with that. He said as soon as he starts eatting them every day he will gain weight faster. He on his own curver though.

What were your 6 month stats? What were your LO stats a birth?

Ty Birth: 6lbs 12oz 19.5 in long.

My girls were 5 and 5.2 lbs at birth. At the 4 month one was over 11 and the other was still just under 10 lbs. She had fallen from the 10th to the 1th percentile which worried me, but the doc says sometimes it takes a while for multiples to even get on the charts. She is eating fine and the doctor was pleased with her gain. It is just her growing pattern. Don't worry - you are doing great!

 

If your ped is not worried than you don't need to be. I will give you my stats, but my boys are beasts, so don't compare.

Colten-18lbs 2oz, 27 3/4 inches long

Trent-19 lbs 10oz, 28 1/2 inches long

I'm not quite there yet, but you really do have to remember every baby has their own curve, and some babies just have to make up the lower percentiles and some have to make up the higher percentiles!

My oldest ds was 5.13 at birth, and at 6 months was 17 lbs.
My oldest dd was 9.12 at birth, and at 6 months was 19 lbs.

Rylee was 7.2 at birth, and at 4 months was 16 lbs.
Liam was 6.4 at birth, and at 4 months was 14.4 lbs.

As long as he's following his curve and still eating good, he'll be fine! :wub: :hug:

 

It sounds like he's doing fine to me! I'd trust your pedi over the WIC people anyday..

DS was 6 lb. 2 oz. at birth. At 6 months he was 15 1/2 lbs.
DD was 5 lb. 4 oz. at birth. At 6 months she was 15 lbs.

Six Months: K, 16lbs 10oz 25 3/4", J 17lbs 7oz and 25 3/4". Their birth weights are in my signature. Try not to worry, if the pedi isn't worried than I would say he is doing just fine.
