I had an appointment and ultrasound today. Im 25 weeks. The boys are great one is 1 lb 13oz and the other is 1 lb 12oz!! Everything else looks perfect from what the dr said. I am 4 foot 10 so we knew later on in this pregnancy id have problems. Both babies are now WAY low and head first...which the dr said is a small concern and it needs to be watched but isnt a huge deal. He said I will be on bed rest sometime within the next 4 weeks...until i deliver. He said he doesnt expect me to go much past 32 or 33 weeks, but we are going to hope for the best. The good part of this isssssssssssssssss dear doctor is going to petition to red cross to get my husband home for Iraq to be with me until the babies r born!!!!

Sounds like way more good news that bad news!!! I mean you can't change some things...but it's great if your husband gets to come home to be with you for the rest of the pregnancy :) I am in a similar situation where we were living overseas on assignment, but in a place that didn't have adequate prenatal care for me so I came back to California to live with my in-laws (and which is when we found out it was twins!) for the duration of the pregnancy. My husband is supposed to be in Africa where we were until about when the babies are due, but if I end up on some kind of bed rest we'll likely be able to bring him back early for some emergency leave which would be great! Bedrest would suck...but would almost be worth it to have my husband here to experience this amazing time of pregnancy with me!

I love your ultrasound pics so much...the babes are adorable :)

my doc was absolutely convinced i'd deliver between 35 and 36 weeks...i'll be 37 on wed...i knew i wouldn't based on my pervious history...so take it a day at a time, you may go longer than he thinks! and yay to get the hubby home!

It's not selfish for you to be excited about bedrest because that may mean your husband gets to come home! My boyfriend is leaving for Iraq 6 weeks after our girls should be here and I would do ANYTHING for him to stay!!! I hope they let him come home!!!! That would be so awesome :)

That all sounds like great news! Glad you had a good appt. and hope you can keep those babies in till you are well in to the 35 week range. I had a lady, client wise, here in town who delivered twins at 38 weeks and she was just shy of 5 feet tall! You can do it!

    38 weeks today!

I agree with PP.... Sounds more like good news than bad... I am on strict hospital bedrest, so I know how hard bedrest is, but in your case, it will give you and your husband some time together before the boys' arrival... So YAY for you!

I can't believe that anyone would call you selfish for wanting your husband home and safe. I just can't understand that. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and hopefully your husband will be home soon.

I am glad you are doing great!

Don't let them scare you that you will go to early.
My mom went 42 weeks with my brothers, never was on bedrest, and she is only 5'....both babies were around 6lbs.

    Good luck!

Glad to hear that your dr will petition red cross. Bedrest is basically what got my DH home from the middle east when i was prego with DD and he was able to stay for a full 30 days, which was awesome! He had some real nasty guys in his chain of command, so it was a bit of a fight, but we got things worded right and he was shipped home. If you have any questions or need help getting him back this direction, feel free to pm me. As far as low babies go, i feel your pain! James moved right smack shoving against my cervix at week 24 and the drs are shocked im still cooking regardless of how dilated i am etc. I honestly think the strict bedrest is what has kept em cooking. Good luck girl, you can do it! :good:

Great U/S pics! I am glad that your doctor will advocate on your behalf to get your DH home from Iraq. I just have to give a shout out to our military and their families for the sacrifices they make for our country :bow2:
