DH's been really sick the last couple of days so today he went to the doctor's & the doc thinks he may have H1N1. he was banished to the basement as soon as he said "i think i'm coming down with something" so i'm really hoping myself & the girls won't get it, but who knows right? we'll have the official test results on monday. it just sucks because now we're all kind of stuck in the house until/if we start showing symptoms. the girls both just had the hand, foot & mouth virus about a month ago and i feel like we were just getting back to our regularly scheduled program. now we may have to repeat the whole process, only this time i'm likely going to get sick too, and grandma won't be able to come over & help because then she may get sick too. :( i know i really shouldn't be whining, we've been very lucky - this would only be the second time the girls will have really been sick, so i'm grateful for that. it's just so tough realizing that all the things you had scheduled may potentially have to be re-scheduled & trying to figure out who you may have come into contact with and all that fun stuff. :gah: thanks for letting me vent.

I think you have every reason to be frustrated! Sick kids, and sick husband for that matter, is just bad news all the way around! And if you get sick on top of it all... I really feel for you!
I guess all you can do it keep the Lysol handy and hope for the best. I had no idea it would take that long to get test results back, now its like you guys are all prisoners until then :( So sorry!

I will have my fingers crossed that it isn't H1N1 AND noone else gets sick in your house! Hang in there!

Let me tell you about a story. . .

It happened not so long ago and not so far away (well, Florida via Virginia). A lovely lady's husband, let's call him Mike, came home from being gone for a month last Thursday and brought with him a terrible influenza. The lovely lady, let's call her becasquared, picked him up from the airport at 8:30 p.m. Thursday night. Mike felt sick and slept on the couch the whole weekend. Becasquared got a stomach bug on Saturday and then caught Mike's influenza on Sunday. Then their darling almost 2 year old twins both got sick on Sunday. Mike flew back to Virginia Sunday evening.

    Cohlee also had it.

 I hope that isn't what he has! Bex did mention that Cohlee had it and her kids never got it, so I hope the same goes for you and your munchkins! No matter what a sick dh is never fun!

I'm so sorry your DH is so ill. Hopefully he's feeling better soon and the rest of you continue to dodge the bullet.
