Holy Moly. We had such a nice run on sleep filled nights in this house. But now that they are potty training, we have to get up in the middle of the night or early in the morning to take them to potty. And while I am not complaining about the $35 a box that we save on diapers, I am complaining about getting up every night again. My poor old body was so used to sleep that it is having a hard time getting back into the saddle of being awake a night. I am either sleep walking the boys to the potty or wide awake laying in my bed :gah:

I came across this blog Mama Drama while looking up something for FY last week. And it is now stuck in my mind. So, how much sleep are you getting?

Rachel - it will taper off after a while...my daughter was this way for the first few weeks - she'd wake up at least once a night to pee - after about 2-3 weeks she has only woken up once after she was put to bed - and it was at 11 pm and DH was still up anyway...

hope you get some more sleep soon!

Wait...you mean you have to start getting up again for night training? Hey, no one told me about that part!

Good luck with the night training and thanks for the heads up. DD just started being considered potty trained. We won't start night training until she gets her big kid bed. Good to know that part about having to get up with her. I guess I thought she would just go by herself. Now that I think about it I suppose she would need some guidance on how to do this potty thing in the middle of the night. Do you turn the lights on?

No, we have a nightlight in the bathroom that works just fine. Some nights they sleep really well and other nights they get up twice to pee. :faint:

 Doodle! Mine aren't night trained yet so they aren't waking up for that, but they still don't sleep all night. I average 4-6 hours a night. I am good if I can get 2-3 hour stretches.

Mine is not night trained so I am not going through that yet, but I get about 6 hours of sleep a night, and man, am I tired!  Doodle! It will end soon! They are growing up soooo fast. Which is a good thing and sometimes a sad thing too.

Wait a second! Even though your boys are in beds you still have you get up?! I dealt with this for the first time last night with Meara and I figured it was time to move to beds so she can go by herself. Guess I'll stick with the cribs for awhile longer since it seems like I won't get better sleep anyway.

:umm: I thought everybody has this issue? Leah still has me come and help her in the middle of the night :faint: Do kids really get up in the middle of the night by themselves to go potty and then go back to bed without waking their parents??? Say it isnt so!!!!!

Most nights we don't get up at all. I am usually down from 9 or 10 PM until 7:30 AM. Zack hold his all night and pee's in the morning. Amazes me! Jackie does some nights but he still wears pulls up because he is a bed wetter. Katie sleeps all night as well. I have had STTN kids since they were 3 months old.
