So I'm doing a update on my twins. They will be 7 weeks old this coming Friday. Everything was going good, until the other day with my DS he started vomiting at night after feeding, I figured it was his formula but he was spitting up all 3 oz, so the same happend the next night but with added brown stuff in his throw up which concerned me seeing as he only eats formula. So we decided to take DS in the the ER and they did an ultrasound on him and blood work and come to find out he has PS and needs surgery. He had to be on iv fluids for 24 hours and no feedings first before the surgery which he had this morning at ten, he's in the room with me now and is doing good so far hes keeping his clear fluids down an ounce at a time. He has to do this for the next two days in order to go home. So cross your fingers, hes keeps everything down. I got an hour of sleep last night and I'm really tired. I would rather get my broken sleep I get every night with the twins instead of this! I'm stressed beyound belief with DH losing his job and now this, ontop of my older DS had a surgery on Monday for his tonsils, aidnoids and tubes, hes still in a bit of pain from that. When it rains it pours or downpours. DD is doing good and their both almost ten pounds already! I'm going to insert a new picture of both DS and DD its a cute one. I just hope things get easier and I get some sleep sometime in the near future, I really dont know what sleep is anymore ever since I was pregnant and so on. Good Karma my way :clapping:

Pyloric stenosis is a narrowing of the pylorus, the lower part of the stomach through which food and other stomach contents pass to enter the small intestine. When an infant has pyloric stenosis, the muscles in the pylorus have become enlarged to the point where food is prevented from emptying out of the stomach.

I'm sorry that you are going through this! There was a lady in another due date club that i was in that her son had this too and her drs tried to dismiss it as reflux!! It took her husband to do research and print off information to get the dr's to look at it. Im glad that they diagonsised it and speedy recovery vibes coming your way!

I hope Noah's surgery went well and that he is able to keep his feeds down now. I work as Pediatric RN and have lots of experience with pyloric stenosis. Once the surgery is done, these babies go home and have no residual problems, they do fantastic!! I hope this is the same for Noah. :) :)

Things are going really good, hes eating three oz at a time now and hes really hungry but we couldnt feed him anymore until today, we went back to the doctor and he said he can eat more now up to 32 oz a day. He also weighs 10 lbs!! already I can't believe it! But thanks to all of you for the warm wishes.
