Let's welcome Joelle as this week's Meet the Mama. It's time to put her in the spotlight and ask her those questions we've all been wondering about. Here is a little about her:

Let's see... My name is Joelle. I am 23 and my husband Brandon is 27. We met in Hawaii where we currently live, but we both happen to be from the Denver, CO area. He had proposed October 4, 2008 and we had a wedding being planned for 09/09/09. In fact, parts of it were already paid for. We found out February 9, 2009 that I was pregnant and we had obstacles with health care and my loss of my full time job, so we went ahead and were married on the beach here in Hawaii surrounded by friends on February 15, 2009. We knew the babies arrival would be way too close to our original wedding date! So now we are hoping they come on 09/09/09 ;) Although my EDD is 10/16. I had a dream the night of February 8th that I was pregnant with twins and the next day when I woke up I took a test and sure enough I was pregnant, despite being on birth control! At a doctors appointment at 7W,3D we found out that they were twins! I had to tell my husband over the internet because he deploys every 2 months with the military.

We are both very excited for our two little boys, but nervous at the same time! It's our first and it looks like we are getting a 2 for 1 deal.

    Hi Jo!

Where are you from in Colorado? I grew up in Loveland but lived in Westminster for awhile. I have several friends from Loveland that have twin boys....maybe there's something in the water out there. Good luck with your pregnancy and instant family!

Hawaii is beautiful, but neither of us like living here. We won't be raising the babies here because my hubby is military. We will either be leaving in 10 months if he decides to get out of the military or in a year and a half if he re-enlists.

We have no names picked out because we can't seem to agree on two. Every time I've thought we agreed, he spoke with friends or family and if there was one negative reaction his whole opinion changed. So I have told him we are no longer telling ANYONE, not even our family until they are born and officially named.

No family at all us around us. We are in Hawaii, they are all in Colorado. Hoping some of them make it out shortly after the birth for some help, otherwise it's all on us.

The pregnancy hasn't been too bad, some pelvic pressure and the doctors have said one of them must be on my sciatic nerve once in a while because my legs get sort of numb and slightly painful.

We live on Oahu, so basically the main tourist spot!

No names picked out, just A & B right now lol.

One of my sisters made these beautiful baby blankets w/ puppies on them so we decided we wouldn't do a crib bedding set and use the blankets she made and base the room around that. We picked out some sheets, bumpers, etc etc etc to match the blankets! The walls are still bare, trying to figure that part out!

I actually wasn't shocked at all when I found out we were having twins, I had told him from the beginning that we were. I had initially had a dream the night before I took the pregnancy test. And in that dream, I had found out I was pregnant with twins and due right around my wedding time in September. Sure enough, I took the pregnancy test the next day and I was pregnant. About 2 weeks later I found out it was twins. Because of the dream feeling so real, I had already convinced myself it was twins!

I'm from Lakewood and my hubby is from Thornton. So as you probably know, just right next door to Westminster. Thanks!

Thanks! The wedding came out quite beautiful for having planned it so fast!

    Hickam huh?

Nice place to visit, but it gets too crowded for me. I can hear you on the "tourist" part.

Smart thing about keeping the names to yourself...makes sense.

    What does your hubby do?

Nope, not Hickam. My hubby is Navy, but doesn't work at Pearl Harbor either lol. He's aircrew and works w/ P3s. We are technically stationed at Kaneohe Bay, but we don't live on that side of the island either. We actually live right by Hickam and Pearl Harbor instead. Since he's Navy we had the choice of Marine housing at K-bay or Navy housing (which is actually off base here). So we chose Navy housing instead, nicer and closer to things.

To me, Hawaii is only a place to visit. I have a strong hate for this place most days haha. It's more than over crowded and I would prefer any where on the mainland where it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do anything or to go somewhere.

    Oh...Navy...got it.

Yeah, I work on the C-130's.(Air Force)

Well...if he does decide to stay in hope you guys will have some better choices of where he can be stationed. Sometimes the location can make all the difference.

Yep, I know what C-130's are. He flies on those to his destinations some of the times.

He will be at 10 years next July and I personally think he should keep going, but this squadron he's currently in is slowly breaking him. He used to do 6 months gone, 18 months home. Now it's 2 months gone, 2 months home, over & over. Most other locations don't have that schedule so I know it'd make all the difference. We will just wait and see.

Ahh, so that's what happened to me! I'm in Denver/Aurora, 28 1/2 weeks with sponteneous boys... I'm going to blame it on the water!

Hi Joelle!! My daughters middle name is Joelle

Congrats on your twin pregnancy! :yahoo:

Have you had any weird food cravings since you got pregnant?
    What is your favorite food?

Ah...the dreaded "10 Year Hump". Yep...then it is either "stay" or "go" time. But hey...just 10 more years and he will have a paycheck for life. I am over 13, so they already got me for the duration.

I had a lot of my younger troops planning to get out after thier first enlistment, but with the economy and scare of finding a steady job, they chose to re-enlist.

I am gone a lot also. Pretty much home for 6 months and gone for 4. When I get back in October, I would have been at Little Rock for 26 months(after living in Alaska for 5 1/2 years). 13 months would have been spent in Little Rock and 13 months in Iraq. I feel your pain for sure...

We like to enjoy the beach, hiking, a lot of outdoorsy stuff.

I do plan to breastfeed! Save some money and better for the babies! I'm nervous that I won't be able to figure it out!
