Today we went to look for forward facing car seats. Really like the Graco cozy cline and the Nautilus 3 in 1. Does any one have any good or bad info on these. My husband is leaning towards the Nautilus b/c it isn't as big and bulky. My Baby Bargains book rates the cozy cline an A but doesn't say anything about 3 in 1 so I thought I would ask here. Thanks.

I have no info on the Nautilius. However my parents have the Graco forward facing seats (not sure if the style is the same as the ones you mention)...the kids seem to like them (they are not forward facing in our car but they are in my parents car) and my DH found them easy to install. Not sure if this helps you out or not. Good luck on your search!

I had the graco comfortsport and loved it, no problems whatsoever.

I would have bought the nautilus for my older dd next except it was too wide for our vehicle, I've heard lots of great reviews on the nautilus.

We bought the Graco Comfort Sport convertible seats last year and love them so far. Sorry they are not exactly what you are asking about. We had the Graco Snug Ride infant seats and when they outgrew those we decided to stick with the Graco brand. We have been happy with the majority of their products we have purchased.

You should go to the 2-4 forum and ask about the Nautilus. I posted about carseats in there and literally everyone that replied said Nautilus, which is what I bought because of those suggestions. I really like them. They have a steel frame and I can use them with the 5 pt. harness util they are 65lbs (or with seatbelt if I choose), and then as a booster until 100lbs. I won't have to buy another carseat again. Since my van has side impact airbags, the wrap around headrest (or whatever you call it) gives them added protection against the airbags should they go off. I'm really satisfied with the Nautilus. It has lots of growing room for the girls.

I don't know much about these carseats but I do know you should purchase one that allows the kids to be in a 5 point harness the longest. (It sounds like the nautilus does that to 65 pounds.) I ended up purchasing 3 carseats for my oldest child. What a whip! An infant seat, a toddler that went to 40 pounds, and then one that had a 5point harness until 80 pounds (the Britax Regent). I'm now a fan of the Britax carseat. We have 2 Britax Regents in DH's car and 2 Britax Marathans in my car. They ARE pricey but worth it. They are so stinking easy to install and move around to different cars. I would definitely recommend either the Marathon or the Regent if you have the money to put towards a good carseat.

We got the Nautilus and LOVE them.
They were easy to install in our van and like a pp they have a better headrest for the side impact airbags. The boys already love using the cup holder and I like that I won't have to buy another seat since I can use this seat for so long. I like that they can be in the harness to 65 pounds and that I can use it as a backless booster and then a regular booster after that. We already had a major blowout diaper while Jack was in his seat and it was super easy to take apart to clean and put back together. Much easier than moving the straps on the graco infant seats.

We have Nautilus seats and love them... but didn't start using them until the boys outgrew their convertible seats at age 3. If you're switching from an infant seat, you might consider something like the Britax Marathon and keeping them rear-facing for another year. That one shifts to forward-facing later and has a pretty high weight/height limit so you'd likely be able to use it until they're ready for booster seats (which are pretty inexpensive).

AND, if you hurry, Albeebaby.com has a floral pattern Marathonfor $179.99 right now. That's a steal!

I wanted to add, they have to be 30 lbs before you can use the Nautilus. So if your girls aren't at the 30 lb mark, you may want to consider something else.

That is actually incorrect. They need to be 20 pounds to be in the 5 point harness, 30 pounds to use the highback booster. You can check the Graco site here
for the details. You'll want to click under recommended use for the weight limits for the 3 different ways you can use the seat. 20-65 for the 5 point harness, 30-100 with the highback booster and 40-100 with the backless booster.

A lot of the reason we chose this seat was because we could use it now with our boys at just a bit over 20 pounds and for years to come because of the upper weight limits.
