Okay, my boys are now sleeping a solid 12 hours. I am excited, but I found them soaking wet. The boys sleep on their stomachs and I just hate to see them all soaked in urine when they wake up.

I was thinking that I should put them in a larger diaper for nights or should I use Overnight diapers.

    What did you do? Why?

    Thanks,
    jenn

I did use one size bigger until I found out about Huggies overnights. The problem with the overnights is the smallest size is 3. My Lo's were wearing a 2 regular diaper so I tried the 3's in overnights and they did just fine. Now they are in a 3 reg. and I usesize 4 overnights.

Yes, I think they work better than regular diapers. Mine are still full in the mornings but no wheres near as bad as when they were in regular diapers.

Wow! I'm so impressed with their sleeping! We never had that problem as (1) the boys were up every 3/4hrs and (2)they didn't drink much. I have heard of people putting a reg sized diaper on with a bigger sized diaper over it. You could also try combining some diaper covers like the ones they sell with cloth diapers. Good luck and I hope the sleeping sticks better than glue!

    Hi,
We used two diapers for a long time until I tried the huggies overnights and I LOVE them!!!
I would recommend them for sure and I wish I had tried them over a year ago!
Good Luck & Congrats on the babies sleeping that long :)

YES!! I don't know what I would do without them. My ds pees ALOT. As a matter of fact, not only do we use overnights on him, we have to use a size larger so he doesn't wake up soaked. There's nothing wrong with this kids kidneys! You only use one per baby a day, so they last for a while. Mine seem more comfy at night now with them on. They don't wake up anymore for a diaper change since we've used them.

For us, overnights have worked great! I like both the Huggies Overnights or Pampers Extra Protection. Good luck and congrats on the great sleeping!

Another thing you can do is make sure the top waistband of the front is folded in. That creates a little pocket or ledge to prevent spillover. If the diaper is completely soaked it won't help, but most times it does. And yes I think the Overnights are worth it!

our boys wake up soaked all the time. at first it was my fault because i didn't know you're supposed to make sure their pee-pees point downward! :pardon: we started buying regular diapers in the next size up but that only goes so far to stop the leaks. so i literally just bought a pack of overnights (one size up) today and we're trying them out tonight.

Just make sure their penises are pointed down!

But yes, Huggies overnights are fab. I have noticed on the Pamper's babydry boxes they now state that they are capable of handling up to 12 hours overnight. But we still have leakage with those. But the huggies overnights have saved me a ton of laundry. Royce still pees out occasionally, but for the most part, his clothes are dry in the morning.

:yahoo: for sleeping through the night! I never used overnights, we just didn't really need them, but I have heard they are great!

I haven't used the overnights. I haven't had a problem with peeing out the diaper at night until about a week ago. They are in size 2 currently but i put them in a 3 at night and seems to work just fine for holding all the extra. The 3's are still too big for the day, but work great for at night..

Isn't it wonderful to have them sleep 12 hours!!

We went up a size for nights for a bit and then when they got bigger, we went to Huggies Overnites. Definitely worth the money IMO. :good:
