do your babies beat you up?

when my guys are tired they like to grab my face and squeeze and mash their mouths and foreheads into mine and basically maul me like a bear. the first way i know one of them is tired is if he bashes his forehead into my face and rubs it back and forth as hard as he can. owen used to do it when he was hungry, too. since they've gotten very grabby with their hands it can feel like being assaulted (in a really cute way).

what on earth are they doing? does anyone else's babies do this? it's like you're holding them and having a good time and they start looking a little tired and suddenly they turn towards you and those little hands fly out and POW catch you by the skin of your jaw and that head comes crashing down BAM into your nose or mouth and then the rubbing starts.

and tonight i was rocking owen to get him to sleep (he's having separation anxiety in the crib so we're trying a new tactic) and as he was settling he kept drawing his head back and WHAM headbutting me. WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! he was headbutting me with the side of his noggin so hard my teeth were clicking. but it put him to sleep.

so tell me, are my boys completely insane?

Oh, yes, some days I feel scratched, bruised & exhausted from all the pinching, squeezing & climbing on me. Just remember it's all done out of love!

No headbutts (yikes!), but I've been pinched, squeezed, scratched, slapped, bit (the worst!), had my hair pulled, earrings pulled out, and eyes poked. Good thing they are so darn cute and loveable!

Yep constantly. When I sit on the floor with them they are all over me attacking me, never letting up. Today, dd was grabbing at daddy and ripped his glasses off of his face and was poking at his eyes. I don't remember my older daughter being so "abusive." LOL!

Yes, my older DS used to climb "Mt. Mommy" all the time after he started pulling up. I'm waiting for it to happen with my little guys too.

Yep, my DS does the same thing. DD is very dainty and doesn't do any rough-housing. DS is horribly violent! :p
He pulls out handfuls of my hair, scratches my face and chest, pinches me, and yeah he even does the jumping and
throwing his head on me. At this point I know he isn't doing it in a temper tantrum so obviously I can't do anything
about it but try to protect myself...I try to remember to ALWAYS wear my hair back. LOL. I do know that when they
get older and know better than you can't tolerate the head-throwing stuff. My DS is already arching his back when I
put him in his highchair or his car seat...I know he's gonna give me attitude later.

Amber upper cuts me when she is tired and in my arms, my que to put her down! Ruby is quite the opposite she strokes your ckeeks ever so nicely when she is sleepy, lets hope she doesn't follow in her sisters footsteps because Amber packs a hard enough punch as it is.

Oh yes, mine did this when they were babies and it's only gotten worse when they get older. Mine have some hard heads, they bang into my face and I am surprised nothing has been broken yet!

LOL YES!! My kids are the same way. DD is horrible. She's so loving in a VERY rough way. Her hugs are definitely mauling bear hugs but she's so darn sweet and cute you can't help but laugh - as she's gauging out your eyeballs! ;)
