    Ladies,

I just lost my message, but I thought I would share you my idea for my twins' 3rd birthday party planning. I have to start early as we are on a budget by stretch with gifts and etc. This year we are going with 'Monkey' theme. I have been working my butt off to put together birthday planning ideas.

    The Theme: Monkey
Aprx. 40 kids (1.5 to 3 yrs old)
The Color: Brown, Yellow, Aqua Blue, Green and Pink
    The Cake Design (2 photos):
We will be using this same design with their 2nd tier(with palm tree around the cake). See the link -- http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/happy-birthday-monkey-cake-2006-11-03.htm

The other picture we will use the exact same design of the cake with the exception of no standing palm tree. The monkey will be part of the 2nd tier from the first link with eye closed, ears covered, and tummy) is PERFECT for "3". See the link -- http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt268/RJtwins/monkeycake.jpg

    The party flavor goodies bag:
Check this goodie bag out! http://www.birthdayinabox.com/search/productdetail.asp-BTID-6-tab_cat_id-8-prodsku-13465-keyword-monkey
    Monkey stickers
Monkey sugar cookie wrap with a bow!
Monkey book (see the link) cheap! -- http://www.casuallivingusa.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=61011&TLCode=16268&cm_mmc=ShoppingEngine-_-YahooPI-_-Product-_-none

    To entertain:
Rent a small bounce or hope to buy one!
2 Craft table will be set up for play-doh and coloring

Now does anyone want to see what invitations I picked out? :)

    Invitation (I have a girl/boy): http://www.paperstyle.com/is-bin/Product/89-6128

And then I saw this cute matching wrapping paper; check this out! http://www.redstamp.com/product/3703-Funky-Monkey-Gift-Wrap-2-Sheets-Snow-Graham?category=39-Gifts&recipient=115-Kids

The party supplies; I will be using the napkins, cake plates, cone hats, mod blow out, and personalized banner. I will get regular plates in yellow/brown. Here the link -- http://www.birthdayexpress.com/browse/_/N-i/Ntt-monkey/results1.aspx

They'll be wearing their party t-shirt -- here the link! http://shop.cafepress.com/design/34218269 and http://shop.cafepress.com/design/34218268

I am pretty much DONE doing all of this.....just need to add up the final cost! My friend who is doing the cake is not charging me anything because I have pass along about her cake business. She has been doing the kids' birthday since 1 year old. (At 1; we did Minnie & Mickey Mouse and 2nd we did Raggedy Ann & Andy (so darn cute!).

If any of you want me to help you SEARCH for the perfect birthday theme, please PM me! ta-dah!

I forgot to even mention that I found table mat, plate divider, bowl, and cups that were in 'Monkey' under the $1.00 section at Target! I also found that cute craft to make (foam) real easy. They are going to be wrapped up as a gift for their birthday. And believe it or not, I found cute monkey gift box at the gift section area at Target. They had monkey on top of the gift box. Who knew I could find those stuff?!

And just wait until next year for their 4th birthday. I got it all planned out but I am praying they'll let me do the theme once more time! I know they maybe going to ask to have their own birthday theme when they turn 5 because of their preschool friends. They'll start preschool next Fall 2010. Like I said, I got it lined up just in case :)

    Enjoy the link!

Diana, everything is AWESOME!!!!! So cute!! :good:

Looks like you have it all covered, but I noticed in my Oriental Trading Company magazine the other day that they had a TON of monkey party supplies, if there is anything you are missing.

I LOVE the cake!! It looks too cute to eat! How lucky you are to have a friend that makes them for you, FOR FREE!! That is awesome!

Your little ones are very lucky to have such a thoughtful and wonderful mom!! I hope the party is a blast!!

And :birthday: Rianna and Justin!! :birthday:

OMGs that is just too stinkin cute. My DH will kill me if I start planning the girls' birthday party now (its not until March after all!), but I'm saving these links, since they are indeed my lil monkeys!!!

Aww, thanks! Yeah, I check with Oritental Trading Company online/catalog. I just think I would rather stick to with something that all kids will really enjoy instead wasting away some dumb toys that will fall apart or get lost. We have been to many birthday parties this year and counting to 10 parties attended so far! We have gotten pencils, jewerly candies, candies, and etc. I avoid all kind of candies with my twins' because once they see it they will REMEMBER it. I would have to deal with their outburst at the cashier. LOL

I thought maybe I could get away with finger monkey puppet but they'll get lost. I decided the book was a perfect gift for all of the kids who will be attending the party. As it will be something they'll remember....:)

I will update their birthday photos once it is over! :)
