The queen is Sophie-Anne same as the books. She is played by evan rachel wood. Plus they have cast Hadley(sookie and jason's cousin). She will appear with Sophie-Anne in the last 2 epis of this season, which is awesome because in the books we only find out about Hadley after she is killed.

Sweet! I was wondering about this, I hope they cast Andre soon. I was kinda disappointed with the casting of Sophie-Anne, I think the actress is way too old.

she is very pretty but i agree too old. Sophie-anne is supposed to be 15yrs old when turned

The actress who plays Pam is also too old. I can't wait to see who plays Alcide next season ;)

I'm curious to see that too. I have my dream casting for Alcide but I know they won't be able to get that person to play him.

How old does the book say Pam is?

Who do you want Nancy?

See, this is why I don't read the books... ruins the show. :p (kidding :tomato: )

    Only two more days. :woo:

Can't remember how old the book says Pam is...but AB has done such different stuff with the show then the books, I think of them as two totally different things. I couldn't even tell you what was coming next based on the show because I have no idea what storylines he's actually using from the books. If Alcide is going to be a character (which I hope he is) I always envisioned him being played by Jim from the Office. Don't know why though. I have a tendency to cast books in my mind. My casting for Eric was Viggo Mortensen!

Oi! He's okay, but I'm very happy with the choice they made. I hope they get Jim for you.

I believe Pam was also a teenager when she was turned, not as young as Sophie-Anne though.

I think thats why these last few episodes are being so drawn out because of the fact that this whole Mary-Anne thing is totally from AB, and she wasn't the basis of the 2nd book like she is of the second season. As for Alcide I always invisioned someone tall, dark, and extremely handsome & muscular playing him. No one in particular though- just my imagination... ;)

Oh yeah, they did an excellent job with the casting of Eric...no complaints here, only complaint is we need more Eric! I am sure I will like whoever they get for Alcide :)

pam is supposed to be 19 but i do like the woman who they have playing her. I'm looking forward to the casting of Alcide, Debbie, andre, russell the vamp king of MI and claude and claudine(b/g twins of a fairy ggb triplet set)

Wow, way to ruin the show for those who have not read the books, ladies! :slap:

I have read the books and bite my tongue when someone has a theory. You all are giving stuff away, you should at least make it a 'spoiler' or go talk about it in the book forum! Sheesh!

Pam is supposed to be 19 and Sophie-Anne is supposed to be 15.

Well that's why it's a good thing that AB changes things up a bit from the books it keeps us on out toes

I agree cholee. I'm almost afraid to come here and read sometimes because I keep coming across things that kind of spoil it for me. I haven't read the books and I understand that they are somewhat different from the show but some of the stuff that you discuss could come in future episodes. They might add things in later or switch things around. One time I accidentally shared something with my husband that was said on here and he was so mad because it hadn't happened yet on the show. Oops.

I agree about putting it in spoilers or adding an additional thread in the books section where you can discuss the show vs. the books. But we need you here to help clarify things or share things with us that you think about the show so keep posting please!!! Just don't give anything away!!! :catfight: LOL

I really expected Lafayette to be more strong willed
    I love yatzee
    I love a dramtic exit
I feel the need to help Eric fix his hair
I think bill is in over his head
I want to know wft is goin on with the giant egg!

This episode isn't up online anywhere yet!! :gah: Is there alot of Eric?? lol

No, not a whole lot of Eric, but more then last week. Definitely not enough. I was "meh" on the episode. I really had a hard time getting Sophie Anne. Bill is asking what to do about Maryanne and she has him hanging out by the pool and playing yahtzee? Did he drink from that guy because she told him to? If I were him, I would have been like, "I'm outta of here". Jason and Andy air their differences out while Maryanne is preparing for her sacrfice? Hello?
I thought Eric and Bill were going to have a Dynasty-esque hair pulling fight at the end. It makes me giggle how much shorter Bill is then Eric, it's like Bill is yelling at Eric's chest.
I did feel bad for Jessica and Lafayette, poor man is really traumatized. I think Sam is the only one with a brain!
    Some great lines though:
When Arlene's kids told Sam about their Dad tatooing Mom's name on his stomach: "He must have really cared about her because that hurts."
Eric saying goodbye to Arlene's kids: "Good night, tiny people."

I actually LOVED Sophie-Ann. She's totally a queen. :p Is it just me or were her fangs much, much longer than the other vampires? I feel sorry for Hoyt finding out his dad actually committed suicide. And Jason- OMG I thought he was actually going to have sex with the girl, I'm glad he didn't though- that would have just been weird. I can't wait to see Eric & Bill actually get into it (if it will ever happen)... so tired of them threatening and bearing their fangs at each other. Get it over with already! lol. But I guess if they do that then the seasons to come won't be as interesting! :D Eric & Pam's conversation also made me giggle.

 That was the best! I love Eric. I, too, am waiting for the big b!tch fight between Eric and Bill. :catfight: I agree, Bill is way too short compared to Eric... the tallness gives Eric more of something :pardon: can't think of a good word, but makes him seem stronger or something. You made me laugh with the "yelling at his chest" I liked how Eric could fly like that. :pig:

Seemed that way. I liked the Queen, but I didn't read the books so she's all I know. I thought it was hilarious with the yahtzee playing and all.

That other vampire at the Queens house, should we know her? Has she been on before? Or was she a girl from Bon Temp that was made into a vamp. She seemed to know Gram and Sookie, right? She talked so low that I could barely hear her.

Last nights episode was eh, but seems like we know how Maryann will get the boot, right? The egg thing was SO freaky! What in the world is in there??? (don't answer if you actually know ;) ) As for Hoyt and Jessica, something had to happen... it couldn't be that easy. The mother deserved it though. :diablo:

Hadley is Sookie's cousin (they have mentioned her a few times in the past shows and then she talked about her last night).

I have no idea what was in the egg (NOT in the books! lol). Weird..... Haha, maybe "Sam turned into a chicken, and then laid it"...to channel Jason's thoughts, if I may. :p

I love this show but do not read this thread because of all the book chatter LOL. Maybe we can start a True Blood for book readers thread and one for non book readers thread. Even though there is only 1 episode left. I was sad to see Lafayettes eyes all big :(

    :rotflmbo: That's too funny!

Shoot! I forgot about that! :( All will be well in the end, right? I'd give up Sam for Lafayette and Tara and Eggs ( :spiteful: )

I'm greedy, I want to keep Sam, Lafayette, Tara and Eggs...I hope they all stick around. What the heck was that egg all about? I was also glad to found out that it was Tara who summoned Maryanne and now I am wondering if Miss Jeannette really was a faker like everyone said.

I think we do need 2 threads for next season. One for regular show chatter and one for comparions. That way everyone is happy.

i agree that for the second to last episode, there sure wasn't much action. the jason and andy bonding moment seemed totally unnecessary IMO and i'm still wondering how the whole jessica/hoyt thing will resolve (what did jessica get, 90 seconds of screen time?)my absolute favorite of the night was eric's saying children were "like miniature humans...teacup humans" cracked me up...and seeing him in the dress with the shotgun, was pretty funny too

and i LOVE how he flew, too...can you tell he's my favorite character? LOL Bill usually just gets on my nerves, but i liked him better in this episode--even though he didn't do much he seemed relaxed (or maybe it was just the lighting) and i liked that he finally threatened eric with something substantial instead of just sulking....

anyway, just wanted to say that i for one, have not read the books (but might soon) and i really like the insight you book readers have, and i adore the spoilers :) but i may just be weird like that. if there was a separate thread, i'd probably read both :)

ETA: maybe the egg has something to do with "Eggs" being called that? no clue *what* that was all about...

I thought that for a second and then remembered his name is Benedict and I figured that's why they called him Eggs. :pardon:

I thought the queen was very well played, she was another witty character and I think that is what makes the whole show, the wit!
I also liked how it all came full circle with Tara being the one who summoned Maryann. Very interested in seeing how it all wraps up in a couple weeks. But what the heck are we going to do until June 2010?!?!?
